afking and league points

in the past fifteen games or so ive had one player going afk and ruining the fun for the rest of us. its very hard to get out of bronze playing with people that go afk. i dont think people should lose as much lp when people go afk. but i think that would encourage people to go afk when they are losing so that they would not lose as much lp from a lost mach. so maybe get the other players to lose half as much lp as they would and get the player who went afk to lose that much more lp. but that would not solve it either, at least not for rank 5 because people would just stay at 0 lp and would not get any lower. as much as i think that everyone should be able to play the game. i think they should ban the players who go afk so they dont ruin the fun for 9 other people. even maybe get them to level 1 again, so that they really feel the pressure to not go afk. i would really appreciate something done about this from riot.
