Bloody wet noodle, Vlad is useless

@riot

What the heck did you do to Vlads ap raitos and passive? I just played a game as vlad vs a gangplank (no grasp) and I felt USELESS the entire game. Gp is normally a fine matchup so I took a standard scaling rune page and defensive mastery book. I farmed very well but once level 6 rolled around we tried an all in. I landed r full channel e and multiple q's on him, but sadly he had a hex drinker and it negated ALL of my damage. He lived with about 200 hp.

Vlad feels really bad now, either go tank (might as well pick Maokai) and do no damage or go ap and do even less. By the end of the game I had rylais lissandries and spirit visage, but I couldn't even kill their adc with my ult. Not to mention level 9 didn't feel nearly impactful for my q cd.

As a long time vlad player since season 4 I always thought of vlad as an sustain burst mage. Now he feels like a guy with no late game and who can be totally ignored till he gets rylais.

Pen boots deathcap used to be my goto build, but now it feels really weak. Can you please improve his q and r scailings, and revert the changes to his passive. I did my team a disservice by picking vlad and thinking I could be a damage carry.

Thanks for reading.

I see Vladimirs to 1v5? It's probably all about your item choices and the enemy team composition.

Sorry OP, you will convince NO ONE of Vlad's weakness while he's being picked in the EU pro tourney.

Vlad is pretty decent, but he's not so much a carry anymore. I've had some considerable success going for sustained damage AP Bruiser, taking the heal % increasing masteries (Windspeaker and the other one) and spell vamp quints for extra nastiness to play against.

If you don't have the heal % increases, you'll fall off pretty hard in the mid-late simply due to not healing enough to counteract the damage you're taking (Unless you have someone like Braum to soak up damage in teamfights) and the HP that tides of blood guzzles down.

Early game is REALLY strong, mid is strong, lategame you stay relevant but not as a carry.

Can't really play him the same way as old Vlad, but he's pretty strong once you get used to his new playstyle.

Vladimir was extremely strong day 1 of EU LCS and I've seen him wreck in solo queue. I'd try altering your build and experimenting with what the pros and other high level players have been building.

Damn these downvotes. Try vlad in a normal or ranked game and tell me what you think before dumping on someone's post.
