I play jungle alot, annnd im in the silver league. Very very frequently i've noticed my teamates demanding help within the first 5 minutes of the match. They either overestimate or just plain do reckless things that put them behind early, and then expect me to come and pick them back up. I usually play a hero that can't kill a fly until she is level 6 or 7, so they are pretty much doomed..i guess. And then I watch this happen with multiple lanes, or all 3 and it makes me feel helpless because the lanes snowball out of control. Then the enemy starts roaming it gets even worse. It makes me feel like we never stood a chance from the beginning and the matchmaking system just decides it wants you to lose.

SO! I need to know if I should start trying to lane instead

Might as well try all the roles, if that is what you're asking. The pinging is anoying, sometimes I just run through and it makes the other team back off, but if they are low on health I can engage. There is no right or worng, but there is anoying teammates.

If you jungle, the first thing you need too do is mute your entire team. At least one of them will flame you for any reason at any time in 90% of your games and 75% of the time the rest of your team will jump on the "it's jg fault" bandwagon. You don't need that level of negativity in your games. With you deaf to all complaints and insults, you will find your games vastly more enjoyable.

Next, you sound like you are already doing your job. You farm your camps so you can be useful to your team. Anyone who has never played jg before fail to understand that your starting items are shit for taking on enemy champions and you need to build them up to be relevant in fights.

Finally, always have a pink somewhere in your jg to guard against invades. I suggest placing it in a brush by your blue or red. It will usually remain up for a while.
