Yorick, the reason why nobody plays him and how that can be changed.

League of Legends offers a diverse variety of champions that can match the play style of almost anyone who wants to get into this game. A large factor behind this game's success is the ability for new players to find a character that they enjoy to play and will take the time to learn how to improve with.

A very popular champion can be thought of as a success on the part of it's developers. It's a champion that many people enjoy to play, which can entice people to the game as well as keeping new players interested. If every champion was boring, the game would be boring.

This brings me to my main point: why not rework some of the most underplayed champions so that they are more fun to play, while also retaining their individuality among other champions. Yorick is one of the most unique, and least played characters in the game. He has great sustain, and is a solid champ, however he is horribly boring to play. When playing Yorick, all I really did was spam e-w-q in that order over and over again whenever I wanted to duel an enemy. If I wanted to button mash I would rather play ....

A rework could possibly, if done right, make Yorick one of the most interesting champions in the game. Riot would need to fix his button mashing nature, and change the zombies themselves to be more interesting in lane.

My idea for the new Yorick: (I am leaving out the numbers, just trying to provide some ideas)

passive: Yorick gains X mana for Y damage delt to an enemy champion by his zombie.

q: Yorick summons a zombie near him. The zombie does x damage to enemies around it when it spawns. This zombie has a/b/c/d/e health (+ x % of Yorick's health) and has X attack damage (+ y % of Yorick's attack damage).

W: Yorick empowers the zombie with X/Y/Z attack speed and F % life steal.

E: Yorick sacrefices his zombie, which explodes to do Z/X/C/V/B (+ N % of Yorick's ad) to nearby enemies. This reduces the cooldown of Yorick's q abilty by S seconds.

R: When Yorick dies, or when another friendly champion dies, Yorick can revive that champion as a zombie temporarily. That champion has no health bar and has increased tenacity and movement speed.
