So i played through my placement matches... i was silver 3 before the preseason got silver 3 after my placement matches and was feeling fine with it... i wake up this morning and read the notification bubble thing and it says i have to play 1 placement match.... to determine where i am. ok so i play my one placement match i win and drop 4 divisions what is this bullshit.

This time it placed my at B5, way under my skill level, but it's a much better placement. At least I can climb from there. I was getting my shit stomped at Silver 2. It was clear to me I didn't belong there.
Xilem1 votesin your case its fine. i went from silver 3 to silver 3 to bronze 2. legit makes 0 sense. 4 divisions for one game. and not to mention i went 7-3 in my placements and i was playing with diamond and plat and gold players the majority of my placement matches. its so stupid.

Silver 5 would have been a more accurate placement for me, not B5. I actually sank a lot more than you. The reason I'm not mad is because it works better placing you under where you belong rather than over it. If you're Silver 3 and got placed Bronze 2, you can climb that. However, if you got placed at say, Gold 3, while it would be nice to show all your friends, you're gonna have a hard time. While playing vs better players is a good thing to learn, having to do that shit all the time is no fun at all. If we're being honest with ourselves here, stomping lesser players is quite fun.
Anyways, I'm just ranting on lmao.
