To all Junglers.

As a frequent jungler

If you don't smite the gromp or krugs immediately at 1:55 or 1:56 and wait until it is almost dead to smite it. You're going to piss me off lol.

Your smite now has an additional 10 seconds for it to cooldown now.

A. You're wrong about the cooldown. It doesn't add anything to it because the second charge is still charging. B. Good opponents will time when gromp is low based on your jungler's clear speed and throw a skill shot over the wall or do a late invade or the enemy jungler may save smite and come steal. There are a number of reasons why it is smart to wait until gromp is at 390 to smite. One of them being that you get the poison buff for longer at the jungle camps where your teammates aren't leashing for you.

Just saying!

Also if you have Ranger's it completely wastes the heal to pop it early.

But you get two charges of Smite that it's still working towards. How do you have an "additional 10 seconds"?

15 sec cool down between smites.

but if your next smite is available at just the next 5 sec before you use the first one, it not guna reset to 15 sec right?

Any time you use smite a secondary cool down, that is independent to the charge cool down, kicks in that is 15 secs long.

15 sec cool down between smites.

Not at the start of the game.

Actually yes at the start of the game. The difference is that you have not stored a second charge yet. The 15 sec timer does still run even if you can not see it.

Dear Junglers who smite at the start of a camp. I enjoy stealing your xp. Sincerely, everyone who likes to cheese.

In addition to not having my stuff stolen.

I run Spell Vamp quints for a number of my junglers, smite is spell damage and I can use it for heals for it to heal me I need to have actually taken damage.

Sejuani, Maokai and Nautalis are my typical junglers, junglers with poor/slow first clears.

And you do remember that Smite has 2 charges? And that "wasted" 10 seconds cooldown can be overlooked when your jungler backs for the 1st time/gank a lane?
