Gnar early game.

Gnar early game seems to be really weak. I have played over 100 games with gnar. Some of my best games are where i semi afk during the first 10 min of game with a sup coin, while gaining exp. In fact my mastery page is set up just for me to chill at turret and gain gold and exp while being safe from the mosters that inhabit top lane like yas. After laning phase is over, I usually have enough gold for something that I fancy for the game and then proceed to rock from there. My worst games though are where i try hard and attempt to cs or fight enemy. enemy is usually a yas or someone else that I have 0 chance against, at least in my mind. That is why I often just jam to music and let sup coin collect gold for me while i chill at tower for 10 min in order to play by far my most fav champ in league. I have a decent win rate on him, just have to play ultra passive untill lvl 10-12. What are others opinion on this?

I find it hilarious that you see Gnar's weakest point in the game to be early considering that he can use his range to bully out 95% of top laners.

I mean i would love to know how with the bug on his q that makes first unit hit take 50% damage leaving its damage at a meager 36 or so, and the fact that most of the rangled champs you speak of can take my life from 100-0 from just one mistake, because i have no damage and enemy champ does. Maybe i am just playing him wrong but explain his lack luster 46% win rate from champ.gg According to this site you can do well with him 50% win rate with a few tweaks. But every other champ that I look at on this site like for example the annoyance in bot lane called blitz with his astonishing 64% win rate if played right. Both examples are extream gnar and blitz. how much does a champ have to effect a team game of 5 to have such a win rate. A 64% win rate means that in 40% of games no other lane matter other than bot lane, which was being stomped so hard by a blitz that the rest of the enemy team gave up and were ready to surrender at minute 5.

I mean i understand what it is... Game is ballanced for pros. So unless i Spend every minute playing this game like the pros my fav champs such as azir gnar and kalista in that order are going to be crap and I might as well just not play this game cause the ultra boring champs have to be brought up to a lvl where faker would want to play them, and be viable in tournament play. I dont even see any of my fav champs used in pro play, they are all the boring simple champs like ashe siver, victor, tf.... how boring is tf... lol So all of my fav champs have to be ruinined in order to accomidate for older boring champs like Yi. Too bad for riot. I really like the new champ designs and they have come so very far with them but they nerf them all o f the fun champs to the point of why bother...

considering that 50% of top laners are yas and gnar has a 44% winrate when facing yas mean that most games are just no fun while sittin under turret with sup coin waiting for late game, where yas still rules with h is 60% late game win rate. Leaves gnar in a bad spot as hes also a late game champ

His range is garbage. The moment you try to go in, you will take damage & is why we have to build tank for him otherwise you pop so easy. They also went way to far in his cool downs.

That is why he so bad now. I main him & I can tell you OP is right. He damage isn't good now. FM is not a good build on him anymore because you will lose doing a nice amount of damage to be useful for your team on kills.
