How to get in contact with a Rioter to help move Rengar in the right direction?

Hi! I'm Kadius, long time Rengar fanboy and admin over on the official r/RengarMains discord server (which I encourage you all to join!). Myself and some fellow staff have concluded a few things: As basically all of Riot knows by this point all the Rengar mains hate his existence right now and pray for a revert, rework or something to change his kit. This means Rengar deserves some change along with the fact he's legit garbage right now. In fact, he was the lowest winrate jungler in the game only 2 weeks ago. So what do we have in store?

Since a lot of our community is very mad at Riot, causing many of them to turn away from the game, we think it's best not to have any kind of public interaction. Instead we would have us and the Rioter(s) in a group DM on discord with our high elo Rengar players and analyzers to assess what the community wants as well as the vision of what Riot has planned. As many of you know, Riot Shrieve is currently working on Zac. We found it incredible the amount of clarity there was between him and the Zac mains community adding in things like the voice pitch and splash effects to make the character fun. We'd very much so like this kind of player-dev interaction to return our champion to something we all can enjoy. If you are a rioter and are interested in helping us out please let us know and we'll arrange the group DM.

Alternatively, since Riot likely won't see this if any of you know how to contact Riot directly (perhaps a business email?) then let me know. We love League of Legends and we only want it to be the best it can be! However for many of us our favorite champion is only memories. Every Rework was a groundbreaking success except for Rengar and we want to change that. Thanks for your help in advance!

As a semi high elo Rengar Toplaner myself let me give you a heads up for our community. Riot doesnt give a shit about Rengar or any assasin. It's rather easy to see how biased they are towards keeping assasins semi viable while making adcs and mages the only strong roles in the game. You wont get anything out o this but i salute your efforts. Best of luck renglets.

Lots of people love League and are sad to see the direction is has gone. It has so much potential but every season is plagued with something entirely unnecessary. Last season it was Flex Queue. This season it is mismatched 1-sided games with a 20 minute FF timer. We have all written essays on how to improve the game. Riot isn't listening.

Rengar is 1) assassin which is quite hard to balance in general 2) Gimmicky which is even more hard to balance. I rather will not see Rengar at all than having him too strong.

If they were prepared to talk about Rengar at all I think you would find they would comment in the public's view. Because even if they were to do it behind closed doors, the word would spread like wild fire shortly after..

And I actually hope they do some more of their own thinking with Rengar 'when' it comes to changing him next. They tried too hard to give Rengar mains what Riot thought they wanted - a straight assassin, hence giving him tools like cc cleanse in the hopes to achieve that exactly. But... everything (primarily his new lore) point to Rengar not being a standard assassin, he should be an opportunistic hunter who almost exclusively prefers one on one fights/hunts, and that kind of translates in game to more of a dps fighter play style, as apposed to a straight assassin/execute play style..

All my opinion of course, I just want them to stay true to his lore and theme, (which he is currently not fulfilling).

Also "How to get in contact with Riot", I think its pretty much guaranteed that Riot knows how much Rengar mains hate new Rengar. They just chose to ignore. Hopefully not forever.

I think they did good with his ult having counterplay, but everything else on rengar i miss

The things I want from a Rengar's rework are: 1 secure font of damage if I have to jump in the middle of 5 ppl ready to peal and with an high mobile carry (too many time I missed my q just because the enemy dashed, get a m speed boost, or simply walked towards me when I was jumping) 2 don't waste my w to do my job. 3 something that make me feel skilled when I use my r and not a random crit 4 Do not make rengar's r a worse version of twitch's q (warning, range in which you can be seen and clicked)

I'm not saying Rengar couldn't use some work.

But I am saying that over the years Riot has put a lot of work into trying to make Rengar a champion who is good for the game, and has failed pretty much every time.

In fact, it's failed so often that I'm thinking the problem is not with Riot as people or as a company, but with the concept of Rengar as a champion.

Unfortunately, Rengar has at no point since his initial release EVER been in a healthy place.

The pure nature of his kit is something that will either be too strong, or too weak, and if it is too weak, it will be supplemented with items that completely ignore the weakness. If he is too strong, he will have 3 viable item builds of full tank, bruiser, and assassin, and will be put in a spot of permaban where he will be unplayable.

Tbh, I really hope they do revert Rengar or something. I'm no high elo Rengar, (only in gold) but when i first finally learned how to play Rengar last season It felt so good to have to constantly outplay and be a true assassain. Everytime I played him I really felt the thrill of the hunt and it was awesome. but ever since his rework I felt so bad playing him to the point I'd get into arguments with my friends about how Rengar sucks. Now granted I still did my best to adapt to his gameplay and have about the same winrate, but his ult sucks, I hate his stupid ass Q, I miss being able to gank mid with ebola charged up, he gets raped in the jungle (unless you kite correctly) and the worst offender, he cant even go assassain and be really successful with it. Every game I want to go full dmg I just end up going bruiser because it isnt worth the risk. and the even worse offender is that it doesnt even feel like im playing an assassain, its just some other bruiser who does hella dmg with cleaver or w.e. I would go into more detail but kadius pretty much is on point with all of that. God riot please for the love of League give me my assassin back! dont make me resort to attempting to play

Hi Kadius,

I am not sure how goes the internal discussion over there at r/rengarmains. However I very much doubt your guys and the rest of the community will see eye to eye with respect to how rengar should be - and because of there i think there is good reason to be weary of any rework of rengar that has rengar mains in the inside loop of how things are done.

that being said i think some Riot person should maybe hop on to your subreddit and have a private chat with you guys. I'm pretty sure they are not on the right track for everybody right now, and maybe you guys can set them straight with respect to what rengar is expected to not be?
