Crazy Garen thoughts
Meddler, you mentioned Garen recently and it made me think about what I really want from a champ I like and play the most. The thing with Garen, and I think everyone will agree, is he has no skill, but you have to have skill in the game (knowledge) to climb to diamond or masters. Nothing you do mechanically will make you win. Which is good and bad because it's perfect for new players who want to learn what and how to fight/prioritize in a game, but terrible because it means you can't outplay really unless your opponent messes up like if it's an adc who is the villian and doesn't have flash then you can kill them.
Basically dream scenario for me personally is to see him actually be made to be a juggernaut. Right now he doesn't have the CC to be a tanky juggernaut and doesn't have the consist damage like Darius or illoai to teamfight. So I am proposing a few things:

Give him a shield. Like visually give that man a shield it just makes more sense for his lore to have an actual shield plus you gave him one for the music video. I mean common son. Gameplay wise if you give it a short leap/dash forward and make it sorta a Irelia W with a smaller width than a braum shield that would be cool.

Make his E more awesome. Its iconic so why not make it seem more iconic? Like 3 second duration, if he is hitting a/or multiple champions extends duration of spin for .5 seconds for every tick of damage. This would greatly help Garen in teamfights since he is currently punished for fight multiple people and is instead dependent on who on the enemy team is getting the most recent kills.

Get rid of the rng ult mechanic and just make it an area effect skillshot ult that does more damage in center and falls off in the outer circle while also slowing more in center, but falls off if by the edge of damage. This specifically I feel would make him actually good in teamfights which he lacks now because he has no real cc (silence counts on q, but you should just get rid of that and make it do something else).
That feels great saying that out loud now. By no means do I represent the Garen community, but I do have over 250000 mastery points. Either way I know Garen isn't really being prioritized for any changes anytime soon. I just really wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts or disagreements. Thanks.
