How do I lane against an irelia as a squishy champion? (not a tank, fighter or bruiser)

She's got CC, true damage, gapclosers, and can 100-0 a squishy whilst building full tank except for triforce. How do I, as a squishy, survive laning phase against that? I tried to just cs and hang back but she would dive me and still kill me under tower as I couldn't get close to minions after level 3. Thanks

edit: i'm not mad, i'm just genuinely curious.

Irelia is a hard one to lane against, she has everything in her kit to be good in laning phase and so on. In my experience if you are playing a squishy champion against her, you should focus on farming whilst harassing her since she is melee(most squishy champs wont be melee) and hope that she makes mistakes and punish the mistakes to ahead in lane.
