Toxicity > Cheating(scripting) priorities out of wack

BILLCOSBYTKO··6 votes·1,000 views

As the days go on I see more and more scripters. Yet riot seems to care more about people cursing each other out. Given the amount of money riot has earned and how big their game has become, it is truly disgusting how they have not implemented a anti cheat system. You would think riot has a certain level of professionalism and have their priorities set straight. Why be concerned over little kids bickering over chat when there are legitimate cheaters(oxymoron intended) running rampant throughout the rift. There is not even a report option for cheating. Riot please. Thanks for reading, lemme know what you guys think. First post.

Well, Scripting isn't something that Riot can really fix. Because instead of changing anything in the game, scripting changes what the game is getting from your computer.

Unless LoL had full access to your system and could dictate what it can or can't do, it'd be nearly impossible to truly fix scripting.

And players who are just really good at their thing are also accused of scripting a lot, adding more ambiguity to that mess.

The Arma Series with their anti cheat Battle Eye could instantly detect if you had hacks, as it would scan your files. And for your comment about good players being accused of scripting, it is truly easy for an experienced player to tell if someone is scripting. You can tell by the way they dodge abilities and time skill shots, it's even easier when these superhuman plays are happening all game.

Sounds like a fast way for Riot to Big brother your computer. I'm happy not having their files search my computer thank you.

Im sure there is others ways to rat out the hackers, this one was just an example. But your computer is not safe anyways.

Thing is, Scripts aren't hacks. They don't touch the LoL files in any way. The difference is, they change the input from your mouse and don't meddle with the LoL system. So unless LoL client had the permission to scan the rest of your system, scripters would be hard for the system to find.

Because it's like this: Mouse input -- [Script takes effect here and not in the LoL system] --> LoL input receiver --> Transmission to server.

And as for the second part, not true. There are times that where players just make some really lucky predictions and/or accident and then get reported for supposed scripting. I know it's happened to me, when a player flashed right as I miscasted my laser as Xer. They flashed onto it and died though, which won the siege and the match.

Reports ensued.

Your point about people getting lucky is exactly that, they are just getting lucky, and then people get mad because of a fluke. My guess is that you have never seen a scripter in action. It is unmistakable. Maybe they could implement something like the cs:go overwatch where well behaved players get to rewatch games and pass judgement.

i was accused of scripting while playing fiora because i had 4.8 sec cd on Q and was reliably walking up minions to hit and crowd her (jinx). My question is is WHEN does scripting do better than human intuition? Scripts cant react worth a damned to interesting plays.

The individual who is scripting can still move their champions abilities if they please, that the script does is calculate how to dodge skill shots, how to hit them perfectly if they don't attempt to dodge, they also mark wards on the map and keep track of how long they are there for, the program can tell the player when anyone is backing, and what are the chances that they are near which lane, also perfect auto attack and animation cancelling. What im trying to say is having scripts add to human intuition by providing an unfair advantage of both knowledge and artificial skill, the player still can react on the fly to certain plays.

Well, let's be honest... its not like Riot cares about toxicity either, lul.

They very much do, did you see what they are doing about end of season rewards? If you had a two week ban you won't receive any. They are calling for reform of the community, but cheating is a bigger issue in my opinion.

Yeah but, in place they set up an automatic bot system that not only bans on toxic people, but also anyone who even said a word considered toxic(so like, someone saying "fuck off" to someone saying they're shit). I think I preferred the tribunal, lel.

The tribunal was flawed, 95% of people would just press the punish button without a 2nd thought. Also now the old system could not compete with the raw number of plays riot now has playing their game. The bot works well and won't falsely ban.
