Support Blind Pick Help

Hey there! First of all, I want to apologize if there's a similar post about this, if there is, I was unable to find it. So, I'm currently climbing my way out of Gold and hopefully getting to Platinum again. I've been playing Support for a while now and I was wondering what, in your opinion, are some good supports to blind pick. I was also wondering in what spots do you think Soraka could be picked because I think her kit is quite good for a support, but I feel like all of the other supports outshine her, so I was looking for an opinion of someone more experienced.
