Int. Feeders Don't Get Punished, Players Telling Them Off Get Banned
Intentional feeders don't get punished, but players who tell them off get banned? What is logical about this? What does this promote in the community?

Cursing is a higher penalty than intentionally feeding and ruining games. Why? Because Riot needs to enable children with overprotective parents to play the game and have a monopoly on them over Dota, which has minimal chat penalties and no cursing filters.
My skin is plenty thick enough to take some curses, but I'll boil over and want to throw my laptop across the room when there's intentional feeding.
They will both get banned but sometimes intentional feeders are a lot harder to track. And honestly what a lot of people think is intentional feeding it just a really bad game.
Riot does not support retributive statements.
I find it funny that you got down-voted. Intent. feeders are so much more toxic than ragers with their "verbal abuse". I can click a button and remove the effect of a toxic team member, I can not click a button and remove the effect of a raging teammate who says "fuck this" and starts feeding or says "sry, i'm trying really hard" but goes 1/20".
oh cool i reported them this game, but they only rage every 4-5 games, so not my problem right?
Person said "I want you to lose your series and never get promoted." Proceeded to feed down mid rest of game. I got banned for telling the individual off. Meanwhile they are playing games all day
I see people cry all the time about "intentional" feeders which are nothing but players losing their lane. Like the guys who tell someone to stop feeding when they just got dived under their turret at half health. The intentional feeding trolls can be bad, but I see them much more rarely than those who are verbally toxic or toxic in some other way.
Unless they specifically say they're intentionally feeding nothing is going to happen. If the player shows a pattern of going out of their way to feed then this is probable. BUT this type of thing occurs over several games and the player has to show a pattern. The players who tell them off can be seen as flamers because they generally curse at the individual and make them tilt harder.
When you put a salty option in your poll, it makes people take you less seriously.
I understand the mute button and filter are not there as an excuse to use bad language... but WOW. Those are tools that are not utilized at all by Riot. That guy gets to play all day, unpunished, and I'm the banned one. Just saying the instabanning for language isn't cutting it. The community doesn't punish the ones actually ruining the gameplay. You can mute someone, you can't unintent. feed them.
Riot doesn't care about us. They just like to have power and ban those of us that express freedom of speech. Completely unethical.
Hello! There is a line between bad game and intentionally feeding. It's easy to tell if a person is giving away kills for free or he gets overplayed. The worst thing about it is that team mates start flaming You at the start of the game - they think the game is lost already when You are 0/3. They dont give the "feeder" any tips, instead they say "feeder" "noob" etc. And what's worse, they will get personal. They tell You to go f your mother and things like that. I have had games where I was 0/10 and we won cos my team mates started to support me, we made a huge comeback. In the end my score was 5/11 but there was not a single flamer. This sadly happens once out of 100 games. This has to be stoped, toxicity is so surreal like the player never lost a game. I'm asking everyone to be patient, try not to flame, be supportive. I hope Riot will change the way these flamers and intentionally feeders are dealth with. Thank You for your time.
We are not talking here about bad games, we are talking about the players that goes like "Do what I say / want or I will feed" or, after they are dying for no reasons and others ask them to not feed they say "You want feed ? I will give you feed" and then they really start feeding ( as soon as they are alive they run to an enemy champion and just stay there to be killed) and they get to a 0/18/1 ( yes, sometimes they get an assist :) ). After the game, 7 from the other 9 say they reported the player for feeding ( I cannot say for sure, I certainly did) . And guess what... I followed those feeders on http://www.lolnexus.com and they can play without any problems 7 minutes later, while some others that got angry on them for good reasons got penalized for flaming them ( it does not feel right, even if I agree that there are no excuses for flaming, even sometimes I admit I could not resist doing that).
I understand why Riot cannot give back your lost points in ranked games ( even if you really have no chance when you have int feeder in the team), but it still sucks after getting down 3-4 leagues because you really had the bad luck to get a lot of feeders and some others afk (and I only blame here the rage>> quit guys, not the ones that got dc) in your team. And no, I am not silver / bronze, I am talking about getting down from series to plat 2 to plat 5. And it really sucks that getting lowers than plat 4 means you get a lot of golds in your team so getting another int feeder every few games is a guarantee.
So, as it seems, Riot will not do anything against that for a simple reason. They might pay for skins or other things and their money are as good as ours. And is only normal for Riot to do this. In my opinion, Riot has to answer first to its share holders then to its players. So is up to the community to do something if we want a change. We could gather and decide to stop buying things from riot or to migrate to other similar games for a while, until they realize they risk to loose much more if they do not do something to stop the feeders. Or we can just complain here, but will help with nothing... EVER.
I don't think riot even bans for intentionally feeding. Had this guy in pre game. Mid or feed, no one says any thing he gets his mid game starts just runs into mid tower dying over and over with mobis, check this guy's game history like 30+ games of feeder many with 40+ deaths with mobi and zeal, still playing
Riot basically doesn't care what people do as long as they don't use words to do it
Can you please stop feeding? You can just afk if you want us to lose this game.
i am just lagging.
Please man, I beg you.
(feeding the rest of this game)
I am sure this kind behavior actually exists, so if you are the Darius, what you should do? Go afk? Riot bans you for afk while the intent feeder keeps feeding. Type toxic words to the feeder? Riot bans you for been toxic. I really feel it's pointless to play a game like that. You know you will lose the game and all of your effort will be nothing, why should you keep playing this kind of game? You don't lose lp because of you are trying when your teammates are feeding. Why do you get severer punishment for been toxic and intent feeding? Does that mean I should go to the jail because I said fucking kill yourself irl and the guy who stabbed me with a knife shouldn't? This game has been existed for more than 6 years. The intent feed issue had been here since S1. Why doesn't riot actually do something to improve the gameplay? I actually like the severe punishments you get in the past.
Every time you abuse one player, there are always more victims than the one you intended, including yourself.
"Tell them off". I agree that int. feeders need to be punished harshly, but I've "told off" many int. feeders without being banned.
However, I can see it would be harder to punish intentional feeders since you basically have to be there to know the 100% truth and LoL is far too big a game for a human to be behind the scenes, watching every game to make sure the reported person was indeed intentionally feeding. Unlike reports that have to do with the chat system, you can't always trust reports against intentional feeders. In fact, ESPECIALLY "intentional feeders". How many times have you guys seen someone on your team doing bad and then someone threatens to report them for intentional feeding when they clearly aren't and are just having a bad game? It's not incredibly often, but it's often enough to where I can see it being an issue if people were banned solely off of whether someone reported them or not.
It promotes "not having players try to do Riot's job for them." Players have a habit of taking too much responsibility when responding to trolls; they try to make them feel bad about their actions while the game is still in progress. That's not our job. Our responsibility in these situations is to NOT respond, then report them after the game.
Trying to address deliberate misbehavior from inside the game environment does not help. Leave it to those whose unenviable task it is to sort through the muck and try to figure out who's just having a bad day and who's maliciously ruining games for others.
