So "Rainbow Stalin" was their Warwick (a.k.a. Rwick)'s name and for the first 1 minute of the game noone could move, after that the message on the picture appeared and we could all play normally (for the exception of ezreal who couldn't even move for the first 20 minutes, leading to us losing the game of course). Can someone tell me what the f*ck this bullshit is?

To be specific about what happened, Ez was DDOS'd. The reason he couldn't move was that his IP was targeted and flooded (if I understand how it works right). Oddly enough the majority of games that you'll see XXXXXX paused/unpaused the game, are ones where someone on the server you are playing is being ddos'd but not in your game, or you. Also it isn't necessarily the player who is listed as pausing the game who created the attack.
Essentially a number of games are hosted on each of rito's local servers and when someone in a game is ddos'd then all the games will have a momentary pause/unpause, and it will randomly name a player as doing it. However, at least 1 player on the server will have a disconnect and not be able to log back in until they reset the IP or the attack ends. It's an exploit that was even more common about a year ago, but is still used by people who are willing to cheat to gain LP. It's scummy and I have no idea why the fuck rito doesn't have better security to stop it.

T RexHasTinyArms1 votes? If you mean the comment about rito stopping it I don't mean bans. I mean security on their server to stop people making the attacks. I may misunderstand it, but I was led to believe that ddos attacks in lol access the IP to target by the connection they share w/ rito. Therefore you wouldn't need to ban people, just have better server security so it's not so easy to exploit this way. Stop it from happening in the first place.

Characteristics of a server side DoS attack are when the game will disconnect for all 5 players and then drop from existence
If Ezreal's internet was being attacked, then this would have no effect on the game for the other players.
You are however correct about the person being listed as pausing the game is usually completely innocent

I know there is a pause glitch in his first 10 games and it is one with Annie so I just copy pasta the first one with an Annie in it, but it might have been a different pavement game he had.

Nilok2 votesHonestly, they should write in the terms of service that if you are found to have purchases or caused a DDOS attack, your IP address should be put on warning with all accounts that have run on that IP being alerted to the situation along with the account suspension. This will cause the family to become away of the activity to try and prevent it in the future.
If this person does this three times, the IP is suspended for a set amount of time with all accounts being alerted to why this happened. This should REALLY stop the DDOSing from this user unless they live alone.
This would not stop people living alone who run through proxy servers, and would unfortunately hit innocent family members of the DDOSer, but I don't have any solution that wouldn't due to the limitations of the system.

Erockandroll1 votesNot sure about the pause part. I had one game of BMB where our twisted fate was unable to move even after the first few minutes of the game. (but he was doing fine at first) He could still chat, but he could not leave the fountain, even after restarting his client several times.
Though in our case, we manage to some how win the 4v5.

DropFill1 votesThis happened with me on brazilian server. I lost the game because, every time we engaged someone, they "paused" the game, making everyone DC, but stay in place, so their adc or turret killed us. AFter killing us, on chat, it appeared that " X unpaused the game ".

Actually the fact that he didn't crop out his restriction for being an asshole kinda makes me believe it more bc he seems curious about what happened rather than trying to get people on his side.

When it happens in ranked it's because someone on the server the game is being hosted on is being ddos'd. In most games it just unpauses and it was someone esle's game being attacked, but in this case Ez was the person targeted and it was someone on the other team who caused the 4v5. If it was just the pause function then it would have the pause show up (which OP doesn't mention, just not being able to move), and it would be unlikely for someone to DC for such an extended period of time.
