S5 Is Irelia Worth it?

I have been thinking of getting Irelia, But with all the changes I am wondering if she is still valid? any advice?

her E dmg wasnt her bread and butter lmao its the q applying all on hit and t force procs and that she is super tanky with just t force you should buy her

My post was a reply to Summoner grey. It appears he has been hallucinating patch notes recently and it's not the first time he's been sharing his "revelations" with us.

Irelia is always strong at the very least. She just has a really solid kit and is definitely a safe pick! :)

Those nerfs only hurt her late game by a little bit. Any late game bruiser is super hard to balance, because they have almost as much damage as an assassin and are tanky as hell. So almost no matter how much Riot changes the numbers around on champs like Jax Irelia , they will still be strong as hell. The only thing I have to say about her is this, do you want to main a champ that has almost a 40% ban rate? Personally, I would rather pick something more under the radar for ranked play.

Irelia is still picked in diamond and challenger play. If that isn't a suitable metric for if she's still good, idk what is.

Oh, hell yeah.

The only change that's come through so far is a damage reduction on her E (and, if I remember right, a change in the way her passive stacks with tenacity).

She's still got really good sustain. She's still a strong duelist, and she's still amazing at turning fights. The trick is to trade so you have just a bit less %health than your opponent, and then E. You max W->E->Q, and put a point in R whenever you can.

Don't Q right to your target. That could put them at a lower %health than you, which means you can't get a stun off. Q to a low-health minion (which refreshes the cooldown), then E->W and ult if needed. Use Q to finish, especially if you at least have your sheen.

Build Tri-force and BoRK on her, and from there just go with what your team needs. If you need more tankiness, Spirit Visage and Randuin's work great, and Wit's End is good too, if you need some extra MR.

irelia is one of the better hypercarries out there.

tri randy banshee sunfire tabi/merc guardian angel carry every game.

Her kit still has pretty much everything except for ranged autos, so yes.

Her E nerfs were negligible, and if she goes even with her lane opponent until she at least gets Triforce (and in some cases just a sheen), then she will start winning most trades from there.

She's still next to impossible to itemize against, is very difficult to lock down, and has a lot of damage and sustain built in to her kit. So she is still "valid" if you mean "viable" by that.
