There is no plan.

She isn't getting one.

Riven doesn't need a rework. As annoying as she can be, her kit actually does work together.

Why exactly? She isn't suffering at all.

Not her, but others are =D

They should just make her unable to pick flash. I cringe whenever i see a Riven flash-W undertower and try (and mostly succeed) to kill a squishy. I swear Riven mains are the most tryhard players, right next to Lee Sin, Vayne and Yasuo mains.

Oh look, someone putting in effort. How cringe. It's far less cringe to shit talk people on a video game forum, amirite?

I was just kidding around, i don't really think that ALL Riven mains are like this, just that lots of them are, for some reason. You may have recognized yourself in what i said and i'm sorry if you felt like that was an attack.

I've also took the liberty of checking some of your stats, you've got a 1.82 kda with Riven. Your kill to death ratio suffers a bit, which means you often trade a kill for a death. Unnecessary flashing just to get a kill is often a very inneficient decision which can lead to an overall advantage loss, even if it gives you a kill outright.

''Tryharding'' in LoL means that the player will often burn more ressources than necessary, like burning a flash just to force a trade instead of waiting for the enemy to be out of position. Being fed and chasing kills instead of taking objectives, using an ult on a target that was guaranteed to die anyway, chasing someone for an extended amount of time, these are exemples of poor decisions that may be rewarding sometimes, but are overall inneficient, and are attributed to tryharding.

Just a constructive criticism.

What you are describing is not tryharding as understood by almost anyone I've ever seen use the term. It's just shitty understanding of map pressure, gold distribution, and resource management.

Also, while it's very rude and uncalled for to bring personal performance stats into this, I'll bite.

Did it possibly occur to you that I might be killing my lane opponent 1v1 without needing to towerdive, only for the enemy jungler and or mid laner to show up afterwords in order to balance out the lane? Maybe that I might, as a playstyle, be drawing pressure towards myself to free up the rest of the map via splitpushing or just lane dominance? If I pressure my lane and the get ganked and die while taking an enemy with me - 1 for 1 - and my team uses that time to gank another lane or take an objective, isn't that obviously better than derp diving under a tower and dying to presumably the tower in your examples? What about when I know I can cleanly flash under tower for the kill and get out safely, barring a second enemy sitting literally in the bush right there and make that play? Would it have been better to save flash and not get a kill just so I can use it to maybe escape a gank later, is protecting kda all that flash is useful for?

You better believe I'm going to go for the flash kill if I'm laning against a scaling champion like jax, nasus, vlad, jayce, etc. if their own defensive tools are on cooldown and I know I have the damage, even if I die somehow due to a mistake or a gank it's worth it, and not #worth but actually brings more value to my team than otherwise.

High KDA's are pretty, but they don't win games on their own. Especially not ranked games. You don't always have the option of waiting for a semi-competent enemy team to make a large enough unforced error that you can cleanly and safely punish them and get an advantage off of it. This is compounded when playing in solo queue where you can't consistently rely on your teammates to not screw up long enough for the enemy team to make the first major mistake.

Sometimes, and more often later on in the game, you need to make plays of of slimmer and slimmer margins of error in order to force a favorable fight or objective. In addition, some champions like riven are both mechanically intensive (making it very easy to screw up in a high pressure split second situation, fatigue setting in during a long game doesn't help) and highly vulnerable to dying from mistakes (from being a melee damage carry). Not even getting into how in the current lethality meta the dominant riven build and strategy is similar to old talon where you just find a good time and place to suicide bomb the enemy backline and hope to do as much damage as you can.

I believe the term you meant to use was something like 'bloodthirsty', because badmouthing the concept of being 'tryhard' and naming off a series of champions who take a higher amount of physical effort than others while also carrying more risk and reward makes you sound very... uninspired.

Riven will most likely not get a full VGU update as there are much more compelling candidates with next next two being Urgot and Evelynn. However, before Riot decided to do the Tank update they considered to update Skirmishers so they might follow the tanks. They may do something with Riven, maybe resembling the edge update? Overall I doubt that they are going to change much if anything.

Not Skirmishers, Divers. They are the most likely rework for the preseason 8.
