Quinn Quick Fix (I think)

FerFlare··1 votes·401 views

With the recent Orianna buffs that make bad Ori players land skills that otherwise they'd fail, I think fixing Quinn will be a lot easier.

With only 2 Dmg tools, Q and AA, (E and R do 0 dmg) Quinn relies on either, saving E to escape from engages **(which makes her beyond useless as an ADC or any other role if she's just gonna sit back like an ADC) ** Or using E to catch someone and be badly positioned with no tools to survive the current 10 Heals and shields they'll use after seeing Quinn is about to attack.

So a quick fix would be making Quinn guarantee 100% that she'll land an AA after casting E, even if the opponent spams summoner 4 , that would give her at least some presence in exchange for now being extremely vulnerable, either increasing the knock up time, decreasing the AA animation, or decreasing E animation time.

Also it would be great if in the E return animation calculation, you prioritize that; If Quinn E is at max range when casted, she'll land closer to the target when there's terrain at the original landing spot And if Quinn is within 100 units or so from the target when casting E, She'll land** further away** if there's terrain at the original landing spot. I can't count how many times I've ganked mid from top, and the E return puts me back in the river bush while the enemy is now at his tower...

And if possible, make Quinn's Q either pierce through minions, or go through them and then deal dmg at the casted area, so she can have some wave clear since she is forced to build item 3087 in order to farm.

She doesn't need buffs, just small changes to make her reliable =)

I kinda wanna see her as a jungler

What the heck are u talking about ?

Quinn works Top, Mid and Jungle to a great effect ...

She works ADC too but u need an aggressive support like Thresh Blitzcrank Leona ... think of a ranged kill lane.

Just ask for a super leash at Jungle once and u are set.

Her ganks post 6 are devastating and reliable.

Ranked sheep cant use their heads anymore they must have a streamer or pro to use his for them.

Their only logic is "pick rates" ... [sg-shisa]

She works fine as a jungler, but her kit wasn't specifically designed for it, which is what I believe Psykoh meant he'd like to see.

She can control her own jg before 6, and pretty much escape invades but she can't effectively duel anyone anymore

You have Warwick with a shield, fear and gap closer, LeeSin with shield, 2 gap closers and a slow Elise with range, % dmg, stun, gap closer, and burst and the others who'd love to find an AD ranged champ 1v1 Khazix Kayn Rammus JarvanIV Gragas Maokai RekSai Sejuani So while she does fine, she's got no argument as to why would you bring her, instead of any other jungler at the moment

I'm D5 and P3 on her at the moment trying to get both accounts back to Diamond before season ends, and i have played her every lane and mained her in the Jungle for 6 months, before the tank meta, 4 years total.

At the moment not only her clear sucks, she can't fit any comp since she isn't and will not be, a tank, a bruiser, or even as good as Ezreal or Twitch jg for a secondary adc with long range, wave clear and burst that any other ranged champ has at the moment

So her only hope is to be an assasin with item 3087 and Lethality items which do effectively 100 dmg per autto to any tank with Tabi's and 1 armor item (I checked several times with different tanks) and assuming you get past the tank line, then you have the dilemma i described before, so yeah... In paper she seems fine, in reality you will see how much she sucks compared to any other champ, in any other role you put her in

I loved that era when her ult did dmg and you could rely on blue buffs since Yasuo, Zed and Kennen were meta :') Having to spend 100 Mana to gank makes you fall behind so much against any other meta jungler, and god forbid you bring scaling MR runes and gank mid... You just get 1 shot by any meta mid laner

"She doesn't need buffs, just the 3 different and super impactfull buffs I just described above." Oh, wait...

A buff is directed to the amount of dmg a champion can do in any direction, that being AD, AP, CDR, AS, auto reset, base stats, grow stats, MS, life steal, etc... Not the interaction with their own kit...

Quinn can hit 6 creeps with her Q already, but she needs to take a lot of creep aggro to do so. I didn't suggest a "buff" I suggested that Q change so she doesn't have to risk position, and HP loss to just wave clear, like 100 other champions already do

The E return interaction i mentioned, is more a bug than an intended mechanic, since it is calculated from terrain, and it is not intended to make you travel further away from your target when you use it, you can read the description of the ability yourself, so i suggested a fix.

And last, those changes would not be "impactful" what so ever, what i asked is for her to guarantee at least 1 autto attack... ONE after not having R, E and W while being now on a bad spot, so please refrain from commenting things you don't understand

Check your definition of buff.

If you can do the same thing as before without taking as much risk, that's a buff. If you can count on a spell always putting you in the most favorable position and not at a fixed distance, that's a buff. If you can guarantee 1 attack when before you couldn't always hit it, that's a buff.

In all three cases, you increase the power level of the champ. You're buffing her. You make her able to win fight she couldn't win before. She's stronger. She's buffed.

The problem with your "logic" is that it leads you to believe you can do "the same" when in reality, is the opposite which i find interesting from a physiological point of view, but that's nothing to do with League

so let me put this in an apple-orange shape for you since you have no idea what a buff is, you probably think Yasuo and Zed are OP and ban blitz every game so i don't blame you for thinking you are right

The Q issue you say is like this: IF change is applied, you will have to calculate distance and add more difficulty to her skill shot in order to make it the way I recommended, so no is not a buff I wrote this thread due to Orianna changes, which you have no clue of so here's what they did to her: When you pressed R and you had a mid air Q or shield, her ult would not buffer, meaning it went off before it finished the full Q distance, or shield full distance, meaning **BAD OR NEW ORI PLAYERS MISSED A LOT OF ULTS **now you can buffer it, so it never goes off before finishing it's trajectory, meaning YOU WILL NEVER MISS AN ULT, unless your aim blows, AND this is, against your logic... NOT A BUFF since regardless of this change, IT DOESN'T MAKE YOU AIM BETTER OR APPLY MORE DAMAGE IF HIT It just follows your intended interaction with that combo, it allows you to do what the champ, the combo, and the game intended from the beginning, therefore, is not a buff, so how is Quinn's recommended adjust that follows the same rules a buff? Surprise, IS NOT. Deal with it

"counting on a spell to put you in the most favorable position" I can tell English is not your main language and that's excusable since you didn't understand what i wrote, so read again and again until you realize i never asked for an extension or reduction of the fixed distance already set on her E what i asked is a fix on the calculation distance regarding TERRAIN, which is **a bug **at the moment. Or in simpler explanation for the general reader, "Fix the bug she's had for years" She is intended to be placed the way i asked, and every interaction regarding terrain with any other champ, has always had this problem and has been fixed, but Quinn's hasn't. And not because Quinn players adapted this bug as a shit mechanic, means it is not an issue. So in what universe is fixing a bug a buff? Again, is not

Guaranteeing an autto attack makes her reliable, not stronger, or better, or win anything at all, think for a moment... is 1 autto attack on a champion that doesn't buy raw AD... nothing yet? Ok how bout this... If you played Quinn at all you would know that her E marks the target with your passive, intended for you to** shoot at the target you just marked on purpose** so why is it that, you hit them with E, mark them with the passive, buffer autto attack, and not hit? In the past 4 years Quinn has had several bugs with her passive most of them fixed, but this one is still there, so again go talk about champs you play and things you actually know and experience while playing, so the next time you come to a One trick thread, you don't come off as a salty Riven main that gets owned by Quinn players every game

Think whatever you want.

What I think is that your thread is still at -4 and nobody supports your idea. Maybe because I'm right, maybe because you're an ass-hole. Maybe both, who knows.

E return always puts you at 525. If you break your line of sight during that time...oh well. Still, I never had an issue of being out of range after landing from E unless they moved quick enough after the fact.

FerFlare1 votes

That's because you've never done it through a thick wall, and yes if they move fast enough you can't autto. Go to practice mode, place a dummy on the other side of a thick wall like any river edge, and depending on where the dummy is placed, you'll end up in different parts of the wall 100% of the time even if you E at the same spot every time, the dummy will determine which side of the wall you return to Like you said, is not a big deal but after 1.5k games, you do miss a couple hundred kills that make you remember that small bug, so i thought I'd put it out there
