I went 7/3 and got placed in bronze V this is very wrong in my eyes I went 2/8 last season and got Bronze IV so I don't understand how i get placed lower for doing better. this is very disconcerting and makes me want to stop playing can anyone explain to me why the placement games are so messed up?

If you only win vs bad players and lose vs better players then it places you with the bad players. It's all based on an invisible system that keeps track of your wins or something.
I went 5/5 but I was placed in Silver 4 despite my friends winning more games than me and being placed in silver 5/bronze 1. I'm pretty sure it's because I won as many games vs higher "mmr" (invisible ranking system) as I did vs people with my mmr so it gave me an average placement.
