Riot, your match making in NA is horrid

So I’ve played competitively for years on other systems and games on the computer. I have some fun mainly I make some money but overall I’m just pretty competitive because I want to be good at whatever I do. Now here lately with League of Legends matchmaking it has seemed that it’s been more about just throwing people together then to make fair matches. I’m not the best player in lol I don’t claim to be I don’t even claim to be good when people ask me about it, but what really gets me is that, I was one or two wins away from Plat and wash straight down to gold three. Now this isnt a rant about how much you suck (My team) or how I’m an ADc Main and I have to wait to get items to get going really to carry hard or that if everybody feeds early there’s nothing I can do about it. Or the fact that knowledge is power and riot does very little to issuer ranked players have some level of knowledge of mechanics. Or a rant about how no one in the community reaches out, I’ve looked and posted a few times to find ppl to play with and if I’m not the bees knees no ones going to even look at ya. No this is more of a question for riot of when are you gonna start putting teams together so that there are fair. Or better yet when are you going to work on your NA community attitude as a whole? Bans are not fixing anything, reports stop the reportable but your matchmaking and community still blow.

And I’ve been watching my games even it’s like my teams are just randomly doing things, and I’m very vocal I ping what to do and I say things in chat, ppl don’t listen in fact at times they will do the exact opposite. And ppl don’t work together it’s like I hit high gold and ppl just lost their minds. And how do you justify a none ranked autofill supp in a game of plats and high golds. Let’s say his Mmr is close to ours let’s just think about the mount of games in ranked even. Guess what riot he didn’t land any hooks in lane and didn’t know threshes e could stop lux ult. Why do that yo ppl with 100 plus games, it’s not fair to anyone, supp, our team or enemy team for that matter. Your auto fill basically ruins the game in lower elo. Like I could go on and on and on about how shit your ranked is these days riot. If it’s not any autofill jerk it’s a feeding lane if not that it’s a no clue jung if not that it’s someone that rages if not that someone how knows the game so well he or she doesn’t need anyone ect ect ect you make this bullshit system keep throwing new shit in it like autofill, role selection ect change things in metas constantly. Like your system only doesn’t support ppl like it should you have a gigantic list that can be stacked against you then we make it hard as shit to climb not to mention (even though I am) the rate of ip decay. Which is a way to keep ppl that struggle in ranks they don’t want to keep them coming back for money( which fuck spending money on riots shit, especially when you guys don’t give a fuck about the little man, ffs your system opposes free speech) I mean if you are really good you going to most likely keep winning to lower diamond anyways so you won’t decay near as much as someone who wins and loses as it goes. And a decent win streak will get you some more pints but let’s scroll up and just breeze threw the list that stacks up against you...yeah fuck that like fuck riots match making in lol. I’ll only keep it installed in hopes they might work on their used to be amazing system comes back.

And how do you expect them to make a good matchmaking in a game where, as riot said themselves, it's better to stick to one role and few champions. Now we have a lot of OTP players who play on, let's say, gold 1 level when they play their main champ and suddenly become iron 4 when their main gets banned or when they get autofilled. Some people don't even know what other champions skills do, lol. In this game fair matchmaking is impossible by it's own design.

You know, it's not matchmaking. What it is clearly is that you are tilting yourself out of winnable games by trying so much to focus on how it's not your fault.

You'll lose a game - and sure, it may not be your fault. But you'll go on immense loss streaks (maybe with one or two wins spattered in) that span days because you're so fed up with everyone else and how it can never be your fault you lose that you're ignoring team play and your teammates.

It's not Riot's fault you refuse to control your emotions and allow yourself to lose winnable games either via surrender or by tilting yourself out of helping your team to victory.

If you are not an influencer (Voyboy, Tyler1, etc.) or pro player, you're opinion means nothing to them. Unless you can influence mass action.

Your story sounds a bit like mine and brings up many of the same points I've raised. I was s3 and got hit with 2 weeks straight of auto-losses to nearly demote me out of s5 a few seasons back. Win my lane 1v2 vs competent opponents? Doesn't matter if enemy mid can 1-shot anyone except me and enemy bot is 19/1/7 vayne who won lane 2v3. Roam and help teammate? They either waste lead or freak at you for ganking for them. Try explaining? Just get flamed. Finally after 2 weeks of games like this, I got halfways intelligent teammates who would at least work with me and TRY. Immediately shot up to peak of gold 3 where I finally ran into some top lane opponents who actually challenged me 1v1.

Did anything happen to my clearly boosted teammates from those 2 weeks of auto-loss games? No. If they'd just been bad, it would be whatever. But when over half of them spend more time in-game flaming and blaming me for such losses... you have to wonder why they don't get so much as a single chat restriction. Does Riot apologize for such poor matchmaking or improve as an overall for the season? No. I haven't had that bad a streak in a long time, but I've had plenty of smaller ones where you can't win no matter what you do and your teammates are incompetent jerks that spend the whole game making your life hell via gameplay and CHAT only to face no negative consequences. I'll fully admit that I've replied in kind. 2+ weeks of nothing but abuse when all you try to do is be positive, help team, chillax, mind your own business and enjoy a game away from the stress of real life will do that to you. I've logically and truthfully put forth tons of arguments on boards, to Riot support, etc. and gotten nothing but negative feedback or indifference. "Well, that sucks but it's not within my ability to make changes," is a typical response (for the ones who are "nice" in their replies).

They don't care if... you have same dmp, cs, dmg taken, csd, etc. as best ranked player in your region; yet have a 30% lower winrate on same champ. They don't care that this high of a percentage difference over the course of a month or more in ranked is too high to be statistically excused by rng and clearly indicates you are being paired with people of much lower skill than you or your opponents deserve to be paired with.

They don't care that this skews future matches such that even more players face either playing with or against boosted or under-ranked (smurfing w/o intending to due to auto-lost games) players causing further disruption to what the ladder SHOULD be like for everyone.

They don't care that while the majority see this even out over the course of a season such that their end place is as it should be, a smaller percentage face either extreme success compared to where they should be or extreme setback (look at edge of bell curve).

They don't care if you take an entire season off in protest. Protesting poor matchmaking. Protesting that someone can get boosted, decide to grief to lose a game faster because omg they weren't winning laning phase so match isn't fun for them and they just want to start new one, and spam harass you without facing consequences. Protesting that someone can call all Diana mains crybabies and spew post after post of lies despite being reported (and have nothing done about them); while you reply to one such post by calling them childish and... get threatened with ban from boards. Protesting that despite pointing all this out to mods and them admitting as much, they won't touch the guy and will still go after you because... that's what the original mod decided to do.

The only thing they stand a chance of listening to is mass action. Which sadly will not happen with said community - aside from mass hate against someone and misconstruing what said individual says in order to gain social points with staus quo and Riot.

So it is sadly best to just ignore said problems you mention or to just find something else to do because average joe player doesn't care enough about said issues to take the actions which would actually get through to Riot that true change is needed. Or maybe they're smart enough to realize that it won't happen and therefore they don't draw attention to themselves in order to avoid the hate I have faced over 2+ years campaigning for change.
