Seeker's Armguard

Alright, let me preface this by saying I've only been playing since season five, so I don't know about anything that came before that. But I will say that Seeker's Armguard is a very strange item to me. It's just an item in the build path for Zhonya's, and it's stats are not great, but not bad. Its passive though has always struck me as a bit odd. It doesn't really fit with the item it's used to build into, which is usually bought for those few seconds of immunity to anything. Armguard, on the other hand, has a stacking mechanic where you gain bonus AP and Armor for killing creeps, champs, and anything else. Why doesn't this item build into something where this stacking mechanic gets used, or just scrubbed out altogether and replaced with something else? Or even just removed from the game and replaced entirely? It's just a very strange step on the ladder of items that lead you into Zhonya's.

Armguard gives you the 45 armor and 35 ap for just 1200 gold with the passive. The passive should be taken out since it gives you all the armor zhonya's would give you.

Buying Seeker's gimps your build as a mage, while Hexdrinker still makes assassins assassin-y.

Being able to stack up some extra AP and Armour makes it more cost-efficient. Nowadays, that's more moot because no one in their right mind rushes it, and by the time they can build it, they're not as focused on farming.
