How to play against full ad runes

I recently played a game as Riven vs Jarvan toplane. I was running armor pen marks, scaling armor seals, flat ad quints and scaling cdr glyphs. I was up against a Jarvan with a lot of ad in his runes. I started longsword 3 pot and he started doran's blade and one pot. Every time I tried to trade with him, I just got heavily out-traded. I maxed E then W and went the standard build on Riven. I had never played the match-up before and I've never been wrecked so hard with Riven, even against Fiora or Renekton. How should I play this lane? Build and trading, and especially when to trade.

Well, jarvan reduces your armor with Q so armor wont help u much. What u also need to watch out is his first hit cuz of his passive. U gotta shield his first hit.

Max E then Max Q. Don't Max W second or you will never be able to catch up. Riven is great at extended trades so if he flag drags to you and autos you and does a shit ton of damage don't run. E his flag drag, take the damage and then Q auto W Auto Q Auto Q Auto then back off. Jarvan is all burst. Also the second you pop 6 go ham on him. Your level 6 is way stronger than his regardless of his runes. Also, if he took full AD he doesnt have much armor so an early brutalizer will mean you are basically doing true damage to him
