The item just doesn't work in a balanced state. Every ADC that can't rush it is hot garbage, but taking it away will just make ADC impossible to play early to mid game. Just find a solution by making items be actually rushable for ADCs and get rid of it.
Nah. Remove it completely, ADCs don't need a compensation item. The boards have been complaining about damage non-stop, removing this items and forcing ADCs to scale over a longer time will be a good step in that direction. ADCs don't need a rushable item, they never had one in previous seasons. The only reason they have one this season is that they can't compete without it in this meta amidst all the other damage buffs. Therefore, remove this item, then downscale rushable items for assassins, fighters, and mages as well till things balance back out.
Not like that would ever happen, just my ideal world. Riot is dead set on making matches quicker and easier to get into. That's why changing the minions spawn time, to start matches sooner. It's also why they won't remove items such as stormrazor, or look into damage as they say they will. Because shorter match times and lower damage are conflicting goals. As lowering the damage reduces snowball and chances of getting stronger faster to end, as well as allowing teams to survive more mistakes so matches carry on longer without deaths. As long as Riot intends to make matches shorter, it's pointless to bother suggesting anything to them besides ways of increasing damage and getting items sooner. Considering how Riot has sabotaged their on game for this goal so far, I don't understand why they haven't started raising base ad and ap stats, that's all it would really take and match time average would drop at least 5 mins.
