Riven animation canceling
I know that Riven players do the animation canceling thing and I'm fine with that but I haven't gotten an explanation as to why? What's the purpose of it, how does it benefit you? Am I just dumb?

You get damage out faster.
basically it cuts out unnecessary animations from her skills and allows her to do her empowered auto atk a LOT faster than what should be normally possible, which drastically boosts her dps and burstiness..
if there are any riven mains around, please let this guy know the difference between just hitting Q 3 times and weaving autos in between and then doing 3 Q's with animation canceling autos.
