Does CS matter more than kills in obtaining an S/S+ rank?

I've been told scoring less than an average of 75 cs per minute on a carry will automatically never give an S or higher rating. I didn't believe it could be so arbitrary until going 28/0/10 in a win at exactly 20 mins. I only had 121 CS though. I mean really, if champ kills and assists counted as CS in this game it would have been an S?

Does anyone actually know how ranks work or is it all guessing? I'm looking ahead at a mastery 7 kog and i am not hopeful AT ALL. I can't see any situation where i could be MORE successful choosing farm over kills.

It's not so much that CS plays a factor as it does your global gold in X time.

Even though you had 28 Kills, with 0 Deaths, on top of 10 Assists, your global gold wasn't enough to warrant the S / S+ rating.

So does CS play a factor? Sorta. :D

its more than that though. you also need to focus on warding more often and taking a large part in taking objectives such a dragon, baron and towers. all of these factor into an S.

basically how it works is it tally's up all that you've done in that match and then averages it to the average player of that particular champ. So basically you did better than average but not by alot. however, with this way of getting an S is more difficult for more popular champs due to the higher number of players that main that champ that due well. so you will end up having to do better than them.
