I am a silver 5 adc. I pretty much play MF and varus. I want to get one more champ in my pool, since I only need a few in elo hell. I don't want to rely on lethality since it will be nerfed soon I'm sure. Is trist any good at all right now?
I don't know that I'd recommend Trist, she's really only strong in late game, and you want your punch in earlier phases of the game due to how snowbally the game is currently.
I honestly think you'd be better off with Jhin, he's super good with lethality currently, and after it gets nerfed, he doesn't get punished for returning to a crit build. Additionally Jhin's kit allows him to initiate plays, which is something most ADCs severely lack.

Tristana is fantastic in the late game, if you are careful early. Her kit has natural peeling with her ult, and her W is a really good escape tool. If you can play safe with your support, then she is definitely worth learning, because her late game damage is insane.

Uhm, Trist is really awesome and fun to play, that said she really falls behind in comparison to other adcs when faced against a GOOD tank player, even though you can always simply run away but when it comes to fighting you gotta be really methodical in what you do, her jumps are awesome to get cheeky kills but if the enemy has any immediate CC you need to be super careful...
She's also supposed to be good at taking turrets but honestly this hasn't been the case for the longest time lol, her bomb does help you push buuuut it isn't all that huge difference, a MF with lethality will melt turrets way faster than what tristana will
Tbh, she's not good right now, and she wasn't considered good even before this lethality trend. Idk, personally, I feel champions like trist have an inherent weakness of only being able to do damage while in auto attack range.
Like in the case of wanting to damage certain champs, something like a
, unless she is hard CC'd like a stun, being in auto range of her probably means that you are dead. AND it's not just being in range of certain champions that is a negative for her, it's also being out of range, like if they can hit you with poke spells like an 
for example it becomes hard to retaliate/ do any damage in return.
trist is good from level 5 onwards
