Nasus has been out of the meta for awhile, lets change that with a few minor tweaks.

When I first started out this game, I discovered Nasus and Veigar whom both have unlimited stacking (I didn't know about Sion yet). I thought to myself "wow, these guys must be super broken, just sit back and stack all day easy win!" And to my dismay I found the cold hard truth about their fall backs with the unlimited stacking. And here we're going to be talking about Nasus. While once upon a time he was once a great champion, now he's once of the easiest champs to face whether fed or not. half the champions in the game now have some sort of dash or blink or mobility ability in the game. Back when Nasus was first released, there weren't champs like that who could escape his deadly slow. So I would like to suggest a change to the w.

  • Leave his W slow to be either the same or less than what it is at the moment (for balancing purposes), but also add that his w maybe reduces to distance a dash/blink can make. Or maybe make the animation for the dash or blink slower as well as their movement speed. This gives Nasus a chance to catch anyone running away from his moster stacks.

  • Another option would maybe make his slow stronger based on how many stacks he has. So maybe it feels like it's actually doing more than just to his q. They will have their dashes still, but you could either make the slow last longer or make the slow itself stronger as you gain stacks. Maybe a bit of both if you wanted.

  • And finally maybe mix the two options together if possible, rather than increasing the slow with the stacks, it increases the amount of reduced range a champ can use their mobility ability or maybe make the animation even slower. This will also make it much easier for him to catch those pesky little assassins or any squishy target with high mobility.

  • One final option I'd like to add is maybe make it like a grounded ability. Completely disabling the mobility ability entirely, but that doesn't feel as unique to the champion in my complete opinion.

I feel that if these changes to his w were considered, maybe tried out in PBE or something, it has potential to not only allow Nasus back into the meta, but provide more to a team fight than just whacking people with his q. It'll help catch high priority targets say like a Katarina or the new Akali who are fed on the enemy team. Help chase down those Rivens that always seem to get away with a sliver of health. Make him feel more unique as a champion as well with an ability that affects the range/distance of other champs abilities. Please Riot, take this into consideration. I'd like to see my boy Nasus back in action.

Hes fine as is. Just because a champ isnt meta doesnt mean they need changes or buffs

there's a lot of champs out of meta. Do they all require reworks? No.

See everyone I know, myself included have always hated nasus. He is completely uninteresting to lane against, but if you don't play his game he will be a raid boss no matter what, forcing you to stay in lane and sit there bored haha. At 6 he is rather ungankable, if he isn't already free farming under three, and takes no active decision making to play... long story short Nasus feels way to binary which makes him way too good with 0 counterplay if ahead or completely worthless if behind... but since he can build tank and stack infinate damage he will eventually be ahead, it's only a matter of finishing the game before that happens... oh and I haven't even mentioned how champions like nasus or darius get 500+ movementspeed and run straight towards you and as a mage or marksman you can't kite that... I mean assassins and bruises can because they have all the mobility

Nasus actually does need a rework. The problems he faces are not as simple as match ups, unfortunately.

Not only does Nasus suffer from a very weak early game he can also be killed by most champions who hit level 3 with or without ignite. Nasus is not strong until level 9 in most cases. That means he essentially has to wait 3 times longer to be relevant and usually a game is decided by then. Nasus is a champion who is intended to thrive even if his CS is poor due to stacks but most champion have so much mobility and upfront damage that this is now hurting him more than ever.

Items are another issue. Almost any lane match up, that is not ap, has better synergy with bruiser items. Nasus can not make efficient use of Black Cleaver which gives basically every fighter or juggernaut a huge burst potential. This is where people come back and say he can use TF better than them. While this is true, it also takes forever to build and again the game is either decided by the time he buys it or he is zoned off the wave so long that when he does get it the power spike is irrelivent as enemies already have the cdr or items to kite or perma cc him. This basically leaves him with only IBG as a viable option which after its nerfs is subpar at best. Other items that were once core are now also not decent due to true damage everywhere like Frozen Heart.

Runes are another problem. None of the new runes offer him the early defenses he once needed to make it to the mid/late game. He is super squishy early and even more prone to bullying.

Nasus needs more than just small tweaks he either needs his itemization brought back in line, like old TF or pre-nerf IBG with away to acquire the gold for them faster (I miss philosophers stone) or he needs a kit rework.
