Off Meta Picks Being Banned now!?

I don't know where to start. There's all the typical "oh riot said they won't ban you for playing off meta picks" but I'm not going to go there because that is not riot's reasoning for the situation. As we know, it is not because the player was playing an off meta pick, it's because of the constant reports and complaints of other players who played with him. A league of legends game ends in two scenarios, winning or losing, we can all agree that winning is the preferable scenario. I don't have any facts to back up my statement, but out of past experience, if I play something off meta, my team usually complains only in a loss situation, if they see that it works and win, they typically say something supportive or how crazy that is, so wouldn't a majority of his reports be from the lower percentage of games the player lost? Therefor, the rage cannot be blamed on the way the player is playing, it comes from a loss. To me this is completely ridiculous, riot has made it clear they won't enforce the meta, but literally the only thing this player has done wrong is smite Nunu, he has no been toxic to his teammates or anything like that, all he has done is played something off meta. Also, with the 53% win rate and all the proof of the strategy working, it's obvious the player is trying to win, not be a troll or anything to his teammates. Riot trying to satisfy the complaints and reports has upset probably many many more players than that which reported the Nunu player. So what's the point? If you're doing this to make the game more enjoyable, and you're just upsetting the majority, what is that accomplishing? This player is in diamond 1, almost masters, using an off meta strategy. His team decides to dislike it (most likely only in loss situations) not the statistics.

i don't mind losing, I don't mind playing with someone who plays off meta, what I DO mind is when they don't do their job or feed.

Want to play SUPPORT Lablanc...go for it...but you better ward and not steal half the CS. Wanna play Nasus jungle? fine, just be sure your ganking like you should

Doing unusual things is not bad, being bad about playing unusual things is.

He obviously wasn't bad about it. I mean he climbed to D1 with a 53% winrate.

Did you really just imply that the world's best nunu player (at the current moment) is bad at playing nunu smite support...

Lololololololol.

He's literally the best nunu player in the world atm and the only one in the world who can succeed in the style he does.
