The Lower Levels are Terrible to New Players

Hi people of the boards, it's me, LickedShoe, back at it again with my first boards post. I would just like to draw attention to how terrible the lower levels are. Since my brother has a smurf account, I thought that I would get back into the game with him, because I low-key hate playing at the status that I am at. Needless to say, I got another account, and have been playing a lot just because it's something new and I now have a goal to work towards. I've been playing this game for four years and I don't think that I have ever experienced so much toxicity. I don't understand how people can feel comfortable destroying new player's attitudes about the game. It's disgusting and discouraging, and I know that if I was an inspiring league player, I would hate myself. Something needs to be done about it. Thanks for reading! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Totally agreed. Riot needs to help new players get good in the game easier, so that it's not feed-and-be-flamed in the first three months of your LoL experience (not defending the flamers!). But that does not generate cash (instantly), so they won't.

This has been tested with actual new players a few times. Riot has a very good system in place that separates smurf accounts from actual new players, and the people who are new don't normally see long time layers until they are in the level 20s.

To put it simply the smurf experience is not the new player experience.
