Am I the only one seeing shurikens over people's heads as Zed?

I played Zed today a few matches, and sometimes a shruiken would randomly appear over enemies' heads for no reason. There was no obvious pattern or reason for it to be appearing, as it appeared on a lot of champions, regardless of their health.

I don't know if this is something that was added this preseason, but perhaps someone knows what it means?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe it has to do with the new reaping shadows passive on his Death Mark. Because it keeps the AD only from the strongest AD target, I think the mark appears when there is someone that if you ult you'll get a bigger bonus. I'm still trying to figure it out but this is my theory.

You mean the shuriken on the target that you ulted on? If there's a shuriken above his head after dealing some damage with your ult, it will be a guaranteed kill.

Thanks for responding guys, but I sometimes see the mark above multiple people's heads, even if I'm out of combat. It's really strange.
