Ok but Hexdrinker is actually a problem

The mage update has made it painfully obvious that item 3155 is becoming a problem early against mages... AD... Cool. MR... Cool. A magic shield... Cool, i guess But why does it last 5 seconds? Early game 5 seconds is a lot of uptime, in a combat situation when your CD are still very high at that point in the game. The shield basically blocks/reduces damage of one spell at lower levels. So you could spend your mana/CD to pop the shield, or try to wait it out but again its 5 seconds. In those 5 seconds you could be killed without any realistic way to fight back, or lose an oppurtinity for a kill because your opponent runs away Show me one AP Item that you can buy that early in the game and make that much of a difference in an early-game fight?

My suggestion is to possibly lower the uptime of hexdrinker passive to 2-2.5 secs to allow more counter play.

Opinions? Im curious what other people experience is vs this item, or if they found a reliable way to counter, I would like to know.
