How many Honor points do we need to level up with this new honor system?

Considering we don't know many honour points we even get for various actions, the answer may not be super meaningful. (For example, since you can level up even if you never receive honour, it suggests we get some amount of honour points simply for playing.)

I get the feeling they're not going to actually tell us and our honour level ups will come as surprises, with them just saying "Don't worry, just keep behaving and being honourable and they'll come in time!" or similar.

This could be a problem. Players shouldn't be "surprised" that they leveled up their honor, because that just contributes to the feeling that they aren't really doing anything special to earn it. If players can't tell that the honor they received makes any difference, then it becomes less meaningful for them to try and earn it. The old system tracked points, but there was never a clear indication that earning points was meaningful. Does RIOT not want players to try and earn honor?

But if you level up passively you're apparently already not being a dick. Reports will knock you down a level. It's not about TRYING to be super honorable, it's about being a decent human being online. And if you are, you will occassionally level up and gain rewards without receiving honors from your team. It's basically being rewarded for doing what you're supposed to be doing anyway.

You are Exactly on the point.

(This is how I have understood the idea:) the idea is not to make players lick other players' asses and add emoticons and hearts everywhere, acting unreal. The idea is to cut away the toxic behavior and create a friendly environment for players in league of legends, without someone leaving feeling bad every game just because another player "doesn't care" they can be reported and banned for that kind of behavior and acts like a piece of shit.

Yup, but only person who gets honor is, very often, not that nice guy, who dont flame, but some1 who carry game and sometimes even flame.

agreed, this system just give the carries more rewards, it shouldn't be called an honour system since the nice people don't get rewarded for being nice, they even get demoralized when they get reported for not playing up to the best standard possible in each and every game, because more often then not, when a ranked game goes wrong there's someone who ends up being reported EVEN if he/she doesn't say anything, just because they had a bad game or just didn't contribute enough according to the other teammembers or often premades.

has any one leveled up yet? i have been playing a ton so far and it hasn't really leaved my honor i wasn't toxic i get honored most every game by my team for being a good jungle i had a few games where maybe 1 person reported me because i told them to stop being toxic cause i wouldn't gank there lane at the start cause it was always pushed up or the champion(s) in that lane were too fed to fight at that point but 1 person being mad at you and reporting doesn't hurt your honor does it? i feel like it would be better to just know what it takes to level and no just be like "be nice and you will get there"

I am told after logging in that I have a 88% higher honor rate than the avg player yet I dont receive checkpoints (Currently lvl 3 checkpoint 1). Im just curious how it works sense it is taking so long.

I'm trying to level up too. I've reached a month ago the 3rd Checkpoint of Honor 3, but I dunno when will I reach honor 4. You know, the Season is ending and I really want to reach Level 4.

Thank you for responding, I think it'll be a long process to get to level 3 maybe a month or even more depending on how much of a 'good' player you are being.
