im not the best player in the world but i do fairly good most games most of the time i go positive unless im fully tilited then i stop for the day but last 5 games i had a afk , troll , or a feeder and i get demoted like really riot now i gotta re climb another rank yet again due to trolls ty riot for your shit system
Because then you can just play games until you get challenger. There's no point of rank if you can't go down.
It's not a perfect system and I've been where you are. I had to reenter plat 1-4 about 20 times last season. (i'll make diamond if it kills me this season!) But, it's the best system we have. I'm sure Riot has considered a lot of alternative ways to balance player placement but each has their benefits and flaws. For example, you propose a system where you can't lose your highest rank obtained. This could result in many players ending up in a single rank highly diluting the player skill level in that rank. People can have runs of good luck just as you had bad luck. You can take solace that you are skilled enough to reach that rank and you will reach it again I am sure. (now imagine if the bronze people could follow you? scary thought.)
It has to exist, otherwise the entire ranking system would be meaningless. The fact that you still get demoted when you have trolls/AFKers/feeders on your team is indeed a huge flaw though.
lul but its soo hard to climb cause of those people and the auto fill just dont help either just makes everything worse
