Vel'Koz Ideas
I personally LOVE Vel- he has been my favorite champion to play since he came out (which is not that long after I started playing) I understand that he is getting a rework because he really brings nothing to the table that other mages don't, so I came up with a few ideas and decided to share.
First- his theme. My big issue with Vel'Koz lore-wise is that you never really see his whole "thirst for knowledge" idea come into play. Here are my suggestions:
- Have him "learn" about his target every time he damages them. There are a couple of ways to do this, certainly more than i could ever come up with, but my idea is to give him a small damage buff every time he process his passive on an enemy champion, possibly on his ult like "Vel'koz gains 1/2/3 AP every time he organically deconstructs an enemy."
- Have him deal more damage to enemies with more overall gold. As we saw in the little animated clip, Vel'Koz gains knowledge through disintegration. So why go through all the trouble of disintegrating small minions when you could just disintegrate the wealthiest and most experienced baddy? The gold passive would also set him apart from Garen's Villan passive, as gold goes into kills and CS. Therefore, if the enemy toplanar is 3/0/3 but has 40 CS, and the enemy ADC is 2/0/1 but with 140 CS, Vel would deal proportionately more damage to the ADC.
