Lux is countered - League of Legends Community

Hello, all!

This thread is to express the inadequacies of Lux as a mid laner. There is no burst, no mobility, no point-click damage, and little ability to farm (especially under tower).

Thoughts to update Lux or make her viable again?

VS Is bad news. Even (and especially) after level 6 when Lux gets her ultimate. She does not have the kit to mid lane any longer.

Idk about mid, but I went support as her and she honestly felt really weak there. Her E feels like it doesnt do any damage compared to Sonas Q.

Because she's not a great support champ. She is ok against low mobility tanky supports and niche comps, but subpar otherwise.

Try her in her intended role and you will see nice results.

Lux does fine as a support in low ELO if you're not a troll with her. At least she was.

There is no burst

Hitting most squishies with a Q once you have an item or two almost guarantees their death because your ult deals a lot of damage, applies and refreshes her passive and you still have your E available.

Well yeah. She does out range most mid laners by a huge amount. Giving a long ranged burst/artillery mage mobility is a recipe for disaster.

Her waveclear early on is pretty meh as it causes her to rely on her passive but gets better as she buys AP. And she can always ult post 6 to clear a wave because her ult CD is incredibly low.

Lux has always struggled against assassins that can close the gap because of her immobility and mages that can out poke, or all in better than she can. She's meant to if she plays the matchup wrong.
