I hadn't been able to buy a champ now for the past 1 year. Leveling for BE system killed the game.

It's THAT hard for casual players. Rito destroyed the game for good.

I'm a casual player with 25 champs - a dozen of which I've never played. I have 15K be and 37 champion shards. I can unlock champions far faster than I can learn them. I don't see a problem.

Playing a couple games a day for a month or two I have 20k B.E saved up.

You are full of it sir

Gonna disagree. New BE system is more or less the same.

Define "casual player".

Define "casual player".

How many games do you play per week? I find your claims inaccurate since I, personally have been amassing BE much faster than I was gathering IP. As a casual player you should also thank riot for changing runes thus making you not have to spend upwards of half a million IP in runes and pages.

To play from time to time and not aim for everyday win exp.

I have been gaining a level/month so far for playing 2-3 days/ week with 1 game a day (win or lose doesn't matter),

I am still around lv 85 only, most of my shards are still shards, because I want to have at least 1 shard for a champ and Disenchant only repeatables.

My Total BE is 7800 atm, after farming an year for it. I have been playing since 2009 and have around 1000 hours total playtime over the 10 years.

This is the definition of a new regular player who plays at least one game a day. Most of the time aiming for a daily win. AND doing ALL events so far. Not casual at all.

Well, how much BE would you get if you disenchanted all your shards? You can also upgrade them. It seems like you want the best of both BE and IP system. If with the IP system you played 2-3 games a week you would take longer to get the same amount of IP. (provided you disenchant all shards)

how did you come to the conclusion unker139 is a regular? He never said how long it took him to get his BE or champs.

Keeping the shards is like owning 1/3 of the champ or so. So divide the number of shards you got in the period by 3 and you will see how many champions you have unlocked

Not true if you remember the party of x5 IP events happening twice an year, you could easily make 15k IP in a week with less efford. Some players used to make 45k+ if they played without rest.
It's really impossible for me to make 15k BE in a month now and no such events exist anymore.

The total BE would be between 20-30k, if I Disenchant right now everything I have, but I want to save the shards to buy champs with upgrade. That's why I disenchant only doubles.

unker139 is a regular to me based on match history/ level and quick math.

You remember that 20k back then wasn't even 4 EMPTY rune pages right? Those events you mention. If you played casualy you wouldn't get anything, + most of the time it was bonus ip weekend that only scaled up if you had a 5-man premade, which a casual player like you wouldn't have, if you played 2-3 games a week.

You obviously played more then if you got 15k IP in a week. + those events were just that, events. We get free skins now so fuck the IP. How many free skins did we get with the old system? That's right 0. now we get upwards of 10 skins per year without money.

I remember when I hit level 30 in early season 2 I didn't even have 10 champs. I bet if I start an account right now, I will have way more champs by the time I hit level 30. And it was also proven.. I was able to buy one 4800-6300 champ per month if I was lucky + I played daily more than 2-3 games.

I've played more during the events back in the day, yes. And only for the events tbh.

I don't have such free time anymore, that's why I said I've been struggling to buy a new champ for the past year. The leveling takes forever, or at least feels like it takes forever. You are lv 200, obviously a lot of hours in the game, no?

Saezio1 votes

a lot yeah, but not so much these past 2 years. And at the same time the current system is actually worse for people that play a lot and better for people that only play 1-2 games a day. You can get first win in bots by the way. Get a quickie out the way while doing something else, you can be semi afk too none will mind, just pick heimer with smite(to claim jg), get a control ward and put the control ward on krugs with a turret on the other side of the wall. You will not be flagged Afk and you can alt tab every 5 mins or so to check anyway.

Yea, I can definetly see why you would find it hard to earn new champions without getting lucky. IMO all champions should be free, like in Dota.

I played 186 games in season 8. 20 so far this season. I try for 1 game a day win or lose but usually get 4-5 games in a week. I have a 35% win rate so I usually don't get the daily bonus.

You want to keep a champion shard... that counts as stock piled BE... /facepalm

You're completely off your rocker here.

You have kept all your shards - i.e. the thing that they're giving you to produce blue essence. OF COURSE YOU'RE NOT UNLOCKING CHAMPIONS THEN.

Like seriously, how did you think this worked? You need to disenchant some shards to unlock others. While it's more efficient to disenchant duplicates, that only works if you own at least a reasonable chunk of Champions first so you have duplicates to disenchant.

If you've been lucky enough to get lots of shards that you don't own despite owning a reasonable number of Champions - then you're lucky, not unlucky. In contrast even though I still need 40 Champions, I almost never get a shard for an unowned champion.

With sylas neeko and zoe, I buy the champ 7800 on release and the next level up I get the shard. xD
