weekly champ rotation

i was reading a discussion about the weekly champion rotation and i was going to add my opinion but there were already over 7 hundred comments so i thought mine would be lost in the overwhelming sea of them. a riot employee said that there was no order in how they picked the free champs each week other than the fact that some had to be simple for new players. i was wondering if riot would figure out ( which i know they do) who the 2 or 3 most played champs were in lcs pro play were and add them to the rotation so everyone can try them. the pros often make unplayed champs popular and i figured this would let us try these out too.
