Team Composition Science!!
I wanted to write this article to share with you guys how i feel about the most important part of the game. We know that League of Legends, the best game on Earth is a 5 man team game. When it comes down to it the pick and ban phase is probably the most important part of the game. WTHeck is a pick and ban phase you ask lol, well, its where we pick our champions and figure out our strategies to throw off the enemy team off. Having a good team composition in game is crucial, to make sure your champions synergize with each other has a massive impact on the game. So lets get down to it!
The Science Of Team Compositions. - The shield comp, the dash comp, the poke comp , the 1 champ focus comp ,and my personal favorite the aoe comp . Im missing some im sure, help me add me to the list =)
The Shield - This team composition revolves mainly on shielding. Whether it be shielding the adc or mid laner so they can never die and ultimately win the game for your team. Good champs for this are :
- Top - Lulu kayle shen
- Jungle - lee sin
- Mid - Orianna, Lux
- Adc - Any adc with an escape i would say is good here. the shields protecting you and your dmg output is too much to handle
- Support - Janna, Morgana, Karma
The Dash - this comp is basically about getting the most mobile champs and just "dashing"(gap closing) to pick off the enemy champions, then going in for a full on assault when they are outnumbered and outgunned
- Top - Lissandra,
- Jungle - Rek'Sai , Lee Sin, Wukong
- Mid - Ahri, Leblanc, Fizz
- Adc - Graves, Lucian, Corki
- Support - Leona
The Poke - This comp is a little more advanced, not only does your team need to have patience but also need to be able to fully communicate with the rest of your team. This comp relies on champions with long range poke, where you poke them down til they are all low enough, then go in for a full out engagement. i say your team needs patience for this because if your teammates are missing the poke and you engage with the enemy team not low enough, odds are you are going to die because the damage output isnt enough without these long range pokes.
- Top - Nidalee
- Jungle - rek'sai
- Mid - Jayce, lux , xerath, ziggs
- Adc - Corki, Caitlyn
- Support - Janna
The 1 Champ comp - This is a funny one, these are comps that revolve around 1 champion cough cough Yasuo cough lol. This one is get yasuo mid or top then get every other champ with a knockup to help him. He can never miss an ult and if done right he will win you the game. Champs like malphite, janna, lulu, zyra, wukong, lee sin , rek'sai , alistar, braum, blitzcrank, cho'gath, maokai and so on, as you can tell there are alot of champs that can help him. Their are many of champions that are capable of leading the team to victory. Some people might call them hypercarries? Vayne is another one that comes to mind, just give her some time and a good vayne... well... gg lol
The AOE comp- well well we get down to one of the more fun comps to run in league. This one is where everyone gets a champion with some kind of aoe effect. In case you dont know AOE is Area of Effect damage/cc. This basically means that when i do an AOE spell it will hit multiple targets in that range, instead of a single target spell that just hits 1 target. So how its done is you get these "aoe" champs and after lvl6(get your ultimate spell) you and your teamates essentially chain your ultimates together, doing them one after another in perfect succession (make sure to get the full effect off, before someone else does their chain aoe spell) to melt as i like to say all the enemy teammates that are in that area range/area of effect.
