New HUD is broken.

Definitely want the old HUD back! It had its drawbacks, but the new one is worse.

-Character stats: I want the ability to see every stat all the time, essentially removing the "C"-feature. -Team stats: I know of the drag-move feature, but I want my character to be in the same location every game by default, whether it be top, bottom, or in the middle. -Cooldowns: make the fancy animation (which is way overdone btw!) happen ~300ms sooner, and not "abilites off cooldown -> animation". Currently, it only offers an extra delay before casting - which can be the difference between life and death in a fast-paced game like LoL. -Allied/enemy portraits, and especially the mana/HP bars and ultimate cooldown dot, are way too small. -Return the display of the nicknames, as well as a more obvious mute option. -And I would have expected this to be implemented by now: a live counter of any constantly changing value on mouse-over (like XP, gold generation items, Tear etc.). Even Warcraft 3 has this, and that game was released in 2002. -Remove the "shimmer" from the ability icons on level-up - it makes it look like the abilities are unavailable during that brief moment (also not a good idea in the heat of the moment). The level-up arrows is sufficient to inform the player in this aspect.

Also, someone shoot the new announcer...

I would like to credit PaladinNO (EUNE) for --Definitely want the old HUD back!--- section of this post (that is everything above). Great community member who represents players on EU servers like no other.

My biggest personal complaint about 5.14 HUD are the champion icons that were moved from the left side of a screen to the right side above the map, as it did affected my way of playing supports. I was used to click on those icons to put heals/shields/buffs on my teamates and it worked flawlessly for me.

This isn't a small problem. This is bigger than even a massive balance change, and in a bad way. Say a champion is changed, and you don't like it. That champion can be banned and you don't have to mess with it. With this hud, the only way to escape it is playing ranked. And even that probably won't last forever if we don't stay vocal about wanting this change. I've quit the game because of this nonsense, because just looking at this new hud is giving me anger issues. There are a ton of us who absolutely cannot stand trying to play with this new hud, you can use the main post as a reference for why that is.

This is a massive problem, but there is an easy solution. If we had the option to toggle between them, that makes literally everyone happy. People who hate the new one can use the old one, people who like the new one can use it. The silent neutral people can just quietly decide which one they prefer and play with that. The only thing keeping this from happening is Riot's misplaced pride for their new creation. They don't understand that a lot of their players heavily disagree with this new change, because they think it's amazing for everyone. If they can get over that hurdle, they can make everybody happy. Until then, there are a ton of very upset players who probably aren't going to touch this game.

Every reason that you list is a cosmetic one (mole hills) but you make it seem gamebreaking (mountains). Not one of the reasons you list affects the gameplay in any way, shape, or form.

There are more important things you should be looking at other than anything that you list here. Most of what you listed is learned by muscle memory by playing the game.

If you need to know the FPS it's in the upper right hand corner. If you need to know the FPS get a better system or hardwire into the game. Gaming on Wifi is the definition of stupid.

Your post is basically what I said, "The whining and moaning of a delusional league player".

"I have a problem that I percieve as massive. Many others have this problem. Some have no problem. Here is how to fix it"

"Your problem is insignificant because I said so and obviously everyone does things exactly how I do. You're delusional."

Right, no point in conversing with you anymore. If you don't think it's an issue, don't bother joining the discussions about it.

Alright I would like you to know, that my english is not the best... So you will always have upper hand over me (and you seems like the bully type, who likes to beat on the people of internet). but when you are talking about it just being problem of muscle nemory, you must understand that it has been in place for so long, it is hard to reconfigurate to the new HUD and thus it is frustrating for a lot of people.... And when we go over what you call mole holes, we can list One big change that affected the way you are using heals/buffs/shields, as the icons of friendly champions got smaller and they were missplaced. Also there are buggs, as it is clearly reported ult timers does not work properly, they are late by some seconds.

I do feel that players are free to voice their oppinions and stop throwing them into one bag of "The whining and moaning of a delusional league player". I did never raise one complaint about this game, until now.

The title of you post said "broken". But you don't think that is an over exaggeration?

And being a bully is not what I'm doing at all. I am voicing my opinion about people like you who make things bigger than they really are. The new HUD is just that, new, and common sense will tell you that it will probably be tweaked here and there.

I will tell you right now that there is not one thing on your list that will be corrected because the option to correct them are already there or they are already there but you didn't know it, like the FPS.

If there is a bug, it will be fixed because believe it or not, Riot will find it. I played all weekend and didn't have any problems with any bugs. My guess is they are so insignificant that I didn't even notice them.

I understand that it takes awhile for people to adapt and am asking that you do that instead of whining and bitching about it. All that whining and bitching about insignificant things is what sets me off. And pretty much everything you stated has no significant bearing on the way the game is played.

Go to the news link and back page till you find the article about the new HUD and it will tell you everything about it and maybe answer some of your questions. I know for a fact that the new HUD can be scaled to the size of you choosing.

Oh, do you now... Then perhaps you can do me the courtesy of telling me how? I want the champion icons towards the lower right corner to be bigger.

It quite possibly is only the middle part of the screen. I didn't change my sizes but there is an option to do so, at least for the main part of the HUD and if you can't do the player icons yet, it says in the FAQ that there will eventually be options to do so.

Here is for later after you and those like you adapt to changes for the better and stop bitching about them...

I told you so!

Thank you!

Have a nice day.

While he is bitching in the title and first sentence, the rest is good feedback and I have to agree with him.

And I disagree with both of you. And when it is all said and done, you will be playing with the changes if you adapt to them and I will be saying I told you that you would.

You are entitled to think the new HUD is an improvement, and an improvement only - however, it is our prerogative to think and proclaim otherwise. You seem sufficiently intelligent to be able to understand that - if you want to.

And we who dislike the new HUD are well within our rights to provide feedback and suggest changes, and the only way to have any hope of getting our will whether in full or to a degree is to voice our opinion on the matter. Yes, I've seen a lot of pure whining regarding the new HUD, like "the new HUD sucks!" (sic - and end of post), which is why I tried to add some actual facts on what I think is wrong with it.

And while whatever Riot decides to do is out of our hands, or so you say, we can at least try to make a change - because it is not a given that all change is a change for the better.

And based on your other posts, I see you like to use the word "sheep" quite a lot, so let me tell you that one meaning of that word is a description of someone who obediently accepts everything without complaint - which is what you claim in this thread is the right way of doing things...

How is what I'm saying any different from what you are doing? It is my right to do the exact same thing.

And you need to understand what fact and opinion are. What you are stating are your opinions, they are not facts so please refrain from saying they are.

This kind of crap always happens when there is change. Instead of adapting to the change people feel the need to whine and bitch instead of adapt. That is all you are doing. I really do not care if you admit it or not but I know the truth and the truth is you will either adapt to the changes for the better or you will stop playing, period. In a month after you adapt, you can have this, " I told you so", right now.

I said my opinions are facts in my view. I never said it's the truth to everyone.

And the difference here is that you're the one who objects to our opinions - not me. I said you're entitled to think what you like, but sowing dispute by the way you're making your points/writing your posts could easily be interpreted as trolling and/or offensive.

Do you know the definition of fact? If not, look it up. And you tell me that I'm twisting things? LOL yer funny.

It is my right to object to any opinion I want to. It is also my right to state mine. If you don't ever adapt to the new HUD for whatever reason because your "facts" as to why you hate it overburden you too much to continue to play League then please tell me that you told me so, otherwise get over yourself and your insignificant, "facts" in my opinion, and get used to the changes that will be staying with only minor adjustments like is typical with change.

There is not one damn thing in the new HUD that is gamebreaking or "broken" as you so eloquently put it. If you feel there are then stop playing the game because you will never be able to overcome them. Yes, it's that simple.

The title is not mine, but the first sentence is - and it was intended as a rant, something I usually open with, before listing all the "why"-s.

I agree with all your points, except that the old one was better. The 2 things I really dislike is the repositioning/removal of what was at top right, and the generally dark colors, especially the minimap and the grey icons when things are unavailable/on CD. It's hard to see whether or not you've already upgraded/changed your trinket when it's on CD.
