Honor System Confusion

So I have been playing league everyday since the honor system came out and i get atleast 1 honor per game. What confuses me, is that the friends I play with daily have all hit honor lvl 4 now, while im stuck at lvl 2. I legitimately dont understand it anymore.

Honor from your friends don't count also they most likely play more than you.
