I am a support main and lately I have noticed one big thing that has me worried. SUPPORT IS DYING

Not only are player's not playing the role itself but I am noticing more and more in game's I am constantly versing a Mid laner champ and ADC at bot lane. For example one of them was Yasuo and talon bot lane.

Not only does this make it unfair because of the tilt but people are using champs that should not be bot and overall just going duo adc bot lane instead of adc and support.

With that concern I think a big way to stop support from dying would be to have normal's like ranked. Not everyone like's to play ranked, myself included but that means we have to stick to normal's where people fight over rolls and then troll when they don't get their lanes or just go duo adc.

Why not have Normals assign a role to the player like ranked does? less fight's that way and it makes sure there is a support. Not only that but I think it would be good for the roster to only show your champions who are for that role so we don't end up with unfair opponents like yasuo and Talon bot lane vs Jinx and sona.

If a player doesn't have a champ for that role then the game should not assign them to it. This would be a much better way to have people play support instead of ditching it all together. Support isn't fun anymore and this is one of the reasons. I'm sick of unfair lane's and trust me i'm not the only one.

While I understand people like to experiment and play non meta so that may make my idea hard to implement I still think it's worth a try or at least consideration so everyone can enjoy the game and not have to put up with team argument's over lanes and unfair advantages on the other teams.

as I said not everyone likes ranked especially because of toxic players who play ranked, normal's should have the same set up to avoid or at least try to prevent fights over lanes. I'm almost quitting support because I just can't have a fun game anymore and surely other's are tired of it to.

You must be joking. I guarantee you Talon/Yasuo would only work in norms where people fuck around or in Bronze 5. That shit won't work anything more than 1 in 10 games past Silver. If that nonsense was actually viable you'd be seeing it in high level play. I see that shit on the enemy team, that's a free win. On my team, dodge instantly.

If Talon/Yasuo beats a support/AD Carry then that support and AD carry should be playing bots. If the AD carry is getting double kills every 2 minutes, then you're doing it right.

This is not likely the case across all ranges of elo. You tend to see more off-meta things in very low elo because it tends to not win games.

Well, there was Draft Pick with the New Champ Select for you guys, but Riot felt it necessary to remove it and leave you only Blind Pick for matchmaking health.

Unfortunate choice of title; you're gonna get lots of downvotes by people reacting to it alone.

What you are saying is not wrong. Support as a class is indeed dying. There is no advantage to taking a pure Support Champion when you think about it: you can literally take any beefy Champion with even the slightest CC and perform just as well as tanks which are classified as Supports.

Similarly you can take any mid-lane AP Champion with some CC and do just as well as pure AP Supports - if not better as you actually get some damage out of it and can carry games.

So yes, screw the downvotes - you are correct. There is no defining feature to the Champs classified as Supports at all.
