Awesome addition to new draft pick

So when you pick your champ, Riot thinks it's a good idea to have to lock in AFTER you've already picked your champ, so now Riot is penalizing you AND your teammates if forget to lock in after you've already selected everything, want to do last minute changes to runes/masteries, or taking care of personal issues. So how about, when you select your champ, it automatically locks-in! This would help simplify and streamline the process, which would also lead to lower stress levels.

(Edit: since there's a message on screen that literally reads 'our records indicate that you obviously are having a momentary lapse in connectivity,' can't riot implement an algorithm that segregates disconnects from actual quitters? Do they not have the programming finesse to do that? After being in queue for almost half an hour because of REAL leavers, I was momentarily disconnected and was told 'because YOU abandoned the game, YOU have to wait another quarter of an hour.' Uhhh.... No Rito, your servers need work.)

so if i accidentally click aatrox instead of ahri when i went to click ahri and it autolocks aatrox for me clicking it that is a good thing? Maybe just click the champion and click the lock then change masteries/runes. it isn't that hard lol.

So you're saying that Riot should cater to a misclick of an impatient player before the ones who plan out the match?

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly the mindset that has made this community as toxic as it is.

Mistakes happen. We should punish people for them as much as possible. ...?

I think you're missing the point..... Both scenarios are mistakes--Riot is currently taking a route that punishes careful planning (not to mention takes longer to actually initiate repercussions, thus punishing everyone in lobby) rather than a route that punishes impatience and impertinence.

Do you understand now?

Absolutely. Your claim still makes no sense, that much is certain.

Should we get back the auto-lock once you have a champ selected ala the old lobby? Perhaps, but is the absence of this feature the reason the whole community is toxic? Should we facilitate people playing other shit (or taking one) rather than focusing on the draft, pre-picking a champ and tabbing out regardless of how choosing said champ may be a detriment to team comp? Is it really that friggin' hard to click on a button? Yes it's annoying as all hell atm, but after a few weeks (or months for some), it will become second nature and be less of an issue. I haven't "forgotten" to click on lock-in or ban since the second time it happened to me. What last minute adjustments are you speaking of to runes/masteries and the like? You still have the post-draft timer before the game loads to do all of that. If you rely heavily on your in-lobby time to make adjustments effectively, maybe do some more pre-game prepping.

Lol, you literally contradicted yourself in one paragraph (you started off saying that pre-planning can be a detriment to the team, and then turn right around and say that more pre-planning is necessary if one is having problems in case you can't figure it out yourself.) I'll give you an A for effort though?

NEXT!... and let's hope the next comment has some shred of sense!

Nop that was just a random example. you can carefully plan out and all that stuff even with locking in. you even have the whole period before you pick to plan any strategys and make chanegs accordingly. Locking in is not hard and stops people from being AFK in champion select. Last i checked riot has a firm stance on keeping the lock-in feature and i'm glad they do. If you can't learn a simple click to lock inthen enjoy the penalty. Also the "old" queue you didn't "click" and it instantly locked for you, it only "locked" when the timer went out or you MANUALLY clicked ready. So your idea would be horrendous lmao cause the "first click auto locks that champion" what if you wanted to "hover" Annie but guess you cant cause you clicked her according to you it instalocked her instead of letting you hover a champion. Or better yet your adc asks you to pick his adc for him but oops you clicked your mid laner cause your system he cant switch to an ADC for his teammate. Lol your ignorance is why the community is toxic, not because i made a statement how mistakes can happen and how bad your idea sounds.
