Right then, so as far as themes go, I assume he will be keeping his Gems. Great. So what about his abilities? Honestly now of them really stick out as "character defining." So can we except a complete overhaul out of this? Or are we going to keep somethings like the only interesting thing, Shatter?

Well Tarics update is supposed to be on a similar level as 
or 
and those 2 had almost all of their abilities replaced by new ones(though some are still similar,like poppys w still gives movement-speed),with only one of them remaining pretty much the same(Sions W and Poppys E),so I guess taric might be a similar case.
Though I dunno which ability taric could keep,I mean his W is rather unique,but it suffers from the "invisible-power"-problem that Sona had.

All of his abilities have been confirmed to be changed completely. His play style will remain the same and his pasive will be the only ability to remain similar to live
I hope he stays as a strong support though. He's one of my favorites
That's exciting!! I never really care for his ulti besides the aoe for assists. Otherwise, I'm glad to let go of it.
He's keeping his heal and stun, which to me define him. So i'm happy.
I've honestly had a blast playing Taric as is, but I usually flock to underloved champions in general.
