Will switching servers reset your ELO?

I am trying to figure out how to reset my ELO as i am currently stuck in ELO hell. If i were to switch to a different server then switch back would my ELO reset? I know that there is a kind of "soft" reset at the beginning of each season but even going 4/5 on the ranking games will usually only move me maybe 1 division higher in the grand scheme of things. Any tips or tricks to restarting things as if you had just hit level 30?

No.

You lose your league standing but you keep your MMR.

Either make a new account or keep climbing. I was in Bronze V for the longest time until I suddenly stopped at the start of S4 and practiced in normals. I was able to climb to Silver V in a month of casual ranked play by playing my favorite champions and letting people go where they wanted.

If you win 7/8 ranked games on Season 5; you will bump up 3-4 divisions.
