Aatrox changes from a 2,000+ games played Aatrox main.
I've recently taken a break from league due to Aatrox's underwhelming gameplay. I've seen the patch notes for 7.5 and I'm less than thrilled. Aatrox doesn't have much of an identity which is exactly why I like him so much (mysterious lol). Some of the changes I find disheartening and leave me with questions such as WHAT THE FUCK are your designers thinking? Who comes up with these ideas? Certainly not someone who is enthusiastic about the champion.
Removed AP ratios? Thanks you've effectively pigeon-holed him into prioritizing AD/HP. Lack of diversity is KILLING this game. This game is dying due to it's age and flippant design which revolves around a core set of champions and gameplay which STIFLES creativity. (RIP Guinsoo's)
<50% HP triple healing removed? Nothing is more exciting to me than towing the line between life and death. You've made his main ability more consistent yes, but in his champion spotlight video one of the main talking points was his deceptive tankiness. Congratulations, his playstyle is more static.
100% Bloodwell buff? This is about the only change which I am interested in, but I can see it posing problems. While it's very attractive it also means timing this steroid which will cause a very predictable pattern of behavior.
I'm reinstalling the game to verify my concerns or justify your changes.
Seriously Riot, before you overhaul any champion, why don't you get some feedback from the players who know the champion inside and out? You've already ruined 2 of my previous mains with your lackluster design.
RIP old god.
