Bard ULT question...
All bard guides go the standard 6/11/16 without thought. Am I the only one who scales Bard ult 6/15/16? [130 / 115 / 90] 15 second CD is definitely not worth a point. Sometimes i don't rank until 6/17/18 (although 40sec is a good chunk to miss out on).
Don't get me wrong, I love Bard. Riot team really outdid themselves with the unique champion concept, and i get that weird = hard to balance, but his terrible ult scaling makes it feel more like an item you get at level 6 than an ult. And I brainstormed what it COULD scale and really I kinda understand why it ended up being the way it is: +range/AoE/speed etc. scaling wouldn't make the skill better, only complicate it's execution because you have to adjust to changing mechanics (as if it isn't already hands down the hardest ult to land correctly). Even freeze length scaling doesn't work because any shorter and it's useless, any longer and it's OP.
The best i could think up is maybe giving it a stock system where you can charge 1/2/3 shots or shoot within 10sec like Xerath ult (obviously nerf size/length etc. to accommodate). I don't really get giddy hitting 11 and 16 as i do with Teemo ult ranges for example.
...Or at least a passive scaling attached to it like Ryze/Fiora that no champ has yet? +AP? Amount of Ws he can lay down? 4/5/6 would be so cool!
In any case, am i the only one who doesn't put points in ult?
