Why is this a thing now that we have 10 simultaneous bans AND the option to choose "None" as a ban option. Can't the game just assume I don't want to ban anyone if I don't ban. Especially annoying when all the champs I want to ban are already banned by my teammates.
I'm new to the game, so I asked my team who they wanted banning, just as I find who they're on about, I get kicked and suspended for 5 minutes. I'm a boring person - with 5 minutes of suspension, all I can do is complain on a forum! It's not entirely my fault if I can't search for champs fast enough after getting team input, which alone takes half the timer.
Fine for ranked, it makes sense. It's not okay for featured game modes like Poro King. I don't play ranked so I didn't even realize the people who were banning "None" in Poro King weren't just letting the timer run out, they were hitting a "None" button. WTF.
I guess it's not that big of a deal but a 15 minute penalty is stupid when I was just ignorant and it's a FUN game mode.
Some better transparency would be nice Rito. I'm clearly not the only one to have misunderstood this.

Okay. so I got filled for Support. Which is fine. I don't really like support but I bought Sona the other day just so I'd at least have something. Thing is that A: Just got her. so I made an Item set, but I didn't know who to ban. and B: I was focusing on changing runes due to only having two rune pages.
So. I thought it'd be okay if I didn't ban. But then I got AFK?ED ? Not sure. I was putting in inputs. I did try to ban something at random who wasn't on my team at the last second. Wasn't fast enough obviously.
But seriously. Where is this fabled no ban button?
Yeah seriously I just let mine go because I didnt want to ban and it givs me a leaverbuster? Dafug is this.. Is it not obvious I dont want to ban anything if i don't click ban?
Im there talking in chat its obvious I'm not afk.. I accepted an afk check 4 seconds before hand and selected a champion... like foreal riot step up ur afk detection. It's not rocket science.. If I'm inputing from my mouse and keyboard.. Im there.
I think this rule is super dumb, NOW games take forever to start. Literally when someone dont BAN A CHAMPION during the ban selection countdown they get kick from the game, the game is disbanded and now the player is treated as he dodge game and he gets a 5 min game restriction. Now I join a game and the game disband like 10 times before starting all because this DUMB rule.
This happen to me today, I select Brand but I did not click ban right away cause I was waiting in case one of my ally change of mind which champion want to played but almost at the end of the countdown other player select the same champion i had selected an ban it, so i coudnt ban that champ and i didnt have more time to select other champion... so i get kick from the game and got a 5 min game restriction as if i dodge the game.. this is so WRONG RIOT..

Quite frankly, the "none" option shouldn't be there.
We have what, 130 champions? You should have to select one at random at the very least. It's not like everyone doesn't have one champ they HATE playing against.

Literally just pick something to ban. Everyone has at least ONE champion that tilts them / they have a hard time laning against. Pick that champ.
If you really insist on contributing NOTHING to your team, you can select that option.
Then just select "None". The feature is to punish people who dont pay attention and afk in champ select. People do this shit all the time. They hover a choice then walk away to do something else to buy them more time
Pretty sure this plus the "lock in" requirements in champ select are essentially AFK checks. Champ select is important, and not paying attention during it is rude and detrimental to your team.
I agree this is stupid, bad game experience for sure.
