Getting horrible LP gains for beating way higher MMR teams

I have been attempting to climb into gold as of recent. I am really struggling with Silver 1. I lose a game and lose 19-24 LP. I then win a game and win anywhere from 8-18 LP.

After beating a team an gaining only 8 LP I took it upon myself to look up the mmr of all other players in my game. I had an unranked, bronze 1, silver 4 and silver 2 on my team as well as myself, silver 1. The other team had a gold 5, 3 Silver 1 and 2 players, and a silver 4. How on earth do I only deserve +8 LP for beating that team? And deserve to lose 20 LP for losing to a team of that caliber? Is that not backwards?

It is really discouraging attempting to grind elo like this!

According to op.gg your mmr is quite a bit lower than average.

The players you faced possibly had a similar MMR. So even though they had a gold 5, his mmr could have as easily have been that of silver 2.

dont lose in a row. it really hurts your MMR.

Rank =/= MMR

If you look up your games on LoLNexus, it will show you the MMR totals of each team.

The enemy team had 7 players :o rito this man should have gotten more lp for an amazing 5v7 win

"Your MMR is lower than the average expected MMR for players in your division. Your MMR will continue to tank unless you improve your play!" You got to get that winrate up man, You're flat lining and if you want to rank up, you have to prove to riot you want it. So get a streak going and your lp will get better.

If the 8 LP was just now it's because Loss Prevented is turned on. Winning teams still receive LP but it is significantly reduced relative to what you'd normally get.

It doesn't get better if your mmr is considerably higher than avarage for your league when you are getting close to your proper rank (mid plat in my case), all matchmaking does instead then is match you with far lower mmr players against considerably higher mmr players and use you as the balancing lever. At the time when my gold 3 eune acc was at a 75%ish winrate, I started having games where it wasn't unusuall for the the opposing team to be a full league or higher than my team on avarage while also having premades. To say the least my winrate started to eventually drop (which was probably contributed by me getting tilted as fuck).

After that period I thought, what the f*ck is the point of getting 27+lp per match if I'm moving into territory where matchups are so incredibly scewered I have 0 chance of carrying them regardless (in that case I'd rather have an estimated 50% chance and the 20lp it comes with) and why am I being so heavily punished before I even reach my designated rank? After that I only focused on getting my other two smurfs into gold which was relatively painless then gave up on ranked completely.

Mind you this was earlier in the season when DQ was volatile as fuck, statistics were later released claiming Riot had improved premade vs pug matchup among other matchups, but honestly I got so turned of by that experience that I don't give a damn anymore and this is after having enjoying ranked for 3 seasons. In the future I'll get my acc's to gold so I can get my championship rewards but beyond that I don't see the point.

Losing is agonizing as fuck when you feel the match is utterly scewered against you and all lanes are losing beacuse you are the jungler and you can't cover 3 lanes at once and gank them all before lvl 3, or constantly daddy all your teammates (rarely an appriciated jesture which can sometimes be contraproductive no matter how nice you try to packadge the words "play safe"), diverting loads of attention from doing your job of actually jungleing and keeping up map awareness. When your matches get like this, the ammount of work you have to put in to win makes it hardly fun in comparision to how stressfull and agonizing losing in the same scenario can be.

Constantly being the balancing lever means you'll just about never get carried so it's carry hard as fuck or lose, too bad Riot made carrying solo harder than ever this season as damage is rampant thus even a small communication advantage can easely lead to a shutdown on the only player doing decent on a team, or worse, premades abusing lolnexus, find out you are the only semi-competent player on your team then proceed to camp your lane or invade your jungle over and over effectively shutting you out of the game since they are organized but your team isn't and don't realise having their jungler locked out of the game might have a more adverse impact on their chances to win than sacrificing those 3-4 lane minions to actually help him regain control of the jungle on their own side.

But whatever, at least other people can have "fun" with their friends in "ranked" (intended tryhard mode?!) now, hah, bah.

For you guys who have the patience to put up with this shit and that especially goes for solo players, kudos to you, me? I've had my fill.
