Rethinking Ranked Fives and Tuning Dynamic Queue

So we just had a post on the NA site but not on EU giving a little thought on dynamic queue, teams and solo players but what really bugged me about this was the idea of emblems to "help" the dynamic queue process. I am usually very happy with Riot's decisions and ways forward but this feels like they have hit a dead end and don't really know what to do.

The goal is to give you another tool (alongside your rank and champ masteries) to show what sort of player you are

As a ranked played, I know what sort of player I am. I am mostly a solo player who will enjoy dynamic queue with friends on the occasions they are online and feel like playing some ranked. I don't need an emblem to tell me that.

With solo queue gone, there needs to be better recognition of individual achievement.

Correct, it would be nice if solo players could be given recognition away from teams of players but this is the part that gets me...

we think this implementation of ranked emblems probably won't completely solve this issue for the players who are least happy with dynamic queue.

won't completely solve? For someone like me this doesn't solve the problem at all. I don't want another shiny thing on my profile, I want enjoyable games without the need to look at who is playing and say "bot, mid and jungle are in the same club so I guess I'm getting camped this game"

As an end note - an emblem is not a recognition of solo players and doesn't help to improve the experience or even change the experience at all. I would like to think the player base are not toddlers who can be persuaded by a shiny sticker. To improve the experience for me I would like to see matchmaking be adjusted for the player and not the queue and for some tools to be provided (which will probably wait until the new client) to help solo players become a better team rather than cosmetic "rewards"
