Rengar Balance Concerns (6.24)

As I'm sure many of you know, Rengar has recently hit peak popularity, subsequently hit ban popularity, and is now back to hiding in the shadows. With the recent patch(es) and more recent nerfs (6.24 and x2 mid-patch ,) his play and win rate have seen alot of fluctuation. That as it may be, his win rate is actually pretty abysmal. As of this last week, [12/8-12/15] his win rate was an abysmal 46.5% in normals, and 47% in ranked making him the 10th lowest win rate out of all champions in the league. In spite of this, his ban rate is also atrociously high in ranked, peaking at around nearly 80% before hovering at 60% now.

At his peak, fresh out of the gates pre-nerf and with his bone-tooth necklace % total AD bug at the time he barely was making a 51% win rate.

I don't know about you, but as a Rengar player I'm rather aggravated that after he has been nerfed to below a 50% win rate after they reworked his ult the first time, and now again after they reworked him a second time, he's back in the pit where he started.

What are your thoughts on the current state of his balance and gameplay? Has Rengar been over-nerfed, and was this an oversight or intentional by design due to his unhealthy gameplay mechanics?

Rengar has extremely high ban rate, as you noticed. High ban rate affects win rate negatively, because most players who leave Rango open are confident that their composition counters him. Same applied to Zed when he had his most crazy ban rate last season, win percent was not even decent.

Rango is extremely strong ATM, poor win rate is just statistical artifact.
