Human bots...why?

Daviem··3 votes·496 views

Hey, I'm a relatively new player. My girlfriend and I just had a match where we were the only two human players. We are just trying to practice with new heroes on the Intermediate AI matches, but the bots would just run and feed the other team. Why do people make bots that do this? What is the purpose? Because they really ruined the game and experience for both my and my gf. I'm mad, but I also want to know if there is anything that we can do when we come upon a similar situation? Surrendering doesn't work since they have the majority.

Some people use bots to level up accounts and then sell them. They are rare above lvl20 and gone after lvl30. If you see that behaviour do report them after the game under using 3rd party software/cheating.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the reply. I've reported every time I've noticed one. Thanks!

  1. Play Customs.
  2. IIRC, AI bots don't get fed. They always get the same items at the same times. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm talking about "human bots" on our team who just feed the enemy bots and make it impossible/hard for us to win. When we have 2+ bots on our team, we always lose (my gf and I aren't that good). It has happened 3 times today already. What did you mean by #2?

AI bots in League don't get 'fed'. If you give them 10 kills, 20 kills, it doesn't matter. They are set to buy certain items at certain times, every single game. 5 kills before 2 minutes with about 1500 gold? They might go back for a Longsword or a Doran's Blade but they'll leave that BF Sword that they SHOULD be able to afford right there.

What I'm saying is that the human bots could not have fed the opposing AI bots in the traditional sense. Because they don't get fed.

Also, how about trying out Customs?

Ah, I didn't know that, and I havent verified either. But because they're bots and they run and die, they leave the lanes undefended usually. Then we go defend that lane and it usually turns out 2 vs. 5 since the bots go on suicide missions. We're not that good to do 2 vs. 5 and it's hard to practice when it always turns out like that.

Do we get influence points from Customs? I've never tried it

Is the cooplfg public chat room still active? If so you should be able to form a group with other humans to play with there.

If there are equal sized teams in Customs, you will get IP and XP (not sure about the XP) but at a 25% reduced cost.

I would also try out a Normal game and see how that goes. If you get matched with people around the same skill level as you, it'll be a LOT better for practice because you can actually communicate and coordinate.

Yeah I ran into these things as well when leveling an alt account, it was the worst in ARAM.

Riot really needs to do something about it, it ruins the experience for new players, worse than just smurfs.

Yeah, gf and I have decided to take a break from this game. Can't really practice with the AI intermediate bots anymore (we don't feel ready to play real pvp with the new heroes yet).

Also, sorry. I just realized that this should probably go under "Player Behavior and Moderation". Is it possible to move? Sorry, noob here...

Also, we can't even surrender when there are 2+ bots in the game. This is happening quite frequently today...
